Are you talking about Prucash or Prucash fund?

Prucash is an endowment plan with cash payout every 2 years by Prudential Assurance, whereas Prucash fund is by Prudential Fund Mgmt.

Prucash fund is an UT, which invests in a portfolio of short term debts and money market instruments.

The new form coming out on 30 April will only be for Cash Investment Form & EPF Investment form. Switching/repurchase form is not affected.

Transfer of AmInvestment Bank's fund-based activities

KUALA LUMPUR: AmInvestment Bank Bhd's fund-based activity will be transferred to AmBank (M) Bhd for conventional business while its Islamic banking business will come under AmIslamic Bank Bhd, with effect from Saturday.

AmInvestment Bank said on Friday the transfer of these activities was part of the AmBank Group's strategic initiatives to compete effectively under the universal banking platform.

It said the move would also enable it to maintain its market leadership in the Malaysian financial services industry.

The consolidation of the fund-based activity under the banking group, with AmBank as the lead institution, would enlarge AmBank's balance sheet, it said.

It said other operating companies of the AmBank group, particularly AmInvestment Bank, could leverage on the enlarged balance sheet to structure larger and more innovative financial solutions for customers.

The consolidation would also enable AmBank Group's credit and market risks to be better managed by centralising such exposure at the banking group.

Hi,
I would like to check, say a fund had given distribution, by default if we do not tick 'PAYOUT', the distribution will be reinvested.
Say if I want to withdraw that payout distribution, will this action impact my MQGP?

MGQP is calculated based on your total invested amount, and it is not based on your total value.
So by selecting payout, you are not reducing your invested amount, but rather your value of investment.
Therefore, it does not affect your MGQP.

Unless you mean that if you plan to redeem the reinvested amount, then you are reducing your invested amount.
Therefore, it will reduce your MGQP.

Hi, what I mean is the payout from the distribution. I did not opt for a payout but instead, I take it out from my account after the distribution credited/

As I have mentioned in my second statement, if you redeem from your invested amount, you are reducing your MGQP. Anyway, if you would like to get the payout, you can opt for change your option. Please consult your servicing consultant.

Whether it is DALI fund or other funds, when it falls into equity category, it is subjected to the market risks like what is happening right now. Is it wise? I would say it is wise, IF you can withstand the risk and the time it would take to get your return. I advise all my clients to keep invested for at least 5 years.
Now, if you are able to do the same, I would say it is wise to have some diversification into unit trust for a chance to boost your returns smile.gif

Hi, I've just invested in PB dragon fund. 3years capital protected(I'm not a risk taker so no guts to invest in other funds, although I know I could get better returns). Any other funds in PB are good and safe?

The only way to be safe is --> FD.

Even capital guaranteed also not that 'safe' as if market condition not favourable to the fund, the 3 years period, one actually earn no interest out of it. Mean that you lose 3.7% x 3 = 11.1%. So, it means if condition is not favourable, one actually lose out 11.1% opportunities cost. But you gain extra when market condition is good. So it is always a trade off between risk and reward.

All investment tools are carrying certain risk either more or less depends on the nature of the investment target.

If you really want to invest in 'FD' type of investment, I suggest you invest in FD rather than BOND Funds. From my experience, I will have one Bond fund on my own as a park lot, which means, when the market is doing badly like now, I will 'move' all my equities to bond to protect the value of it.

Anyone can have their own way of investment...
