Since most of the funds invest in share market, when share market drops, its expected that fund price also will drop.
i am expecting KLCI to drop till 900 points...Fund Investment Corner, Please share anything about Fund.

QUOTE(kingkong81 @ Mar 8 2008, 12:31 PM) Well, do agree wif you that shares market correlate closely with Unit Trust Pricing. that's what i expect man, not what i said it will be. so don't be confused by the person who misinterpreted my previously posted msg... Just wait until this coming monday and see the KLCI market together However, if you come out n said that you expect KLCI to plunge till 900 points, it will be beneficial to actually support your claim with some of your views/facts/articles. BTW, i hope every1 try not to flam or use rude comment...we all here to share...respect & peace |

QUOTE(Jordy @ Mar 8 2008, 08:52 PM) So you know English better than me huh? Well, congratulations!! Ah, I see a UTC. Thanks for your comment. I am not flaming you and I am not commenting about the index will drop to 900 points. If you don't see a point what I am typing, please go and read up. I am a no subject expert on this, so i said i EXPECT it to hit 900 points. Before you proceed any further, please read my post and interpret what my meaning is We would like to see 'expert' opinion, not just some 'guess-the-index' game. Since you are so confident, then give your comments and not just leaving a random number here. All market analysers are also giving their assumptions. Would they say "Index WILL hit 900" straight to your face? As I don't mind you flaming me, but please remember I am ONLY asking you to elaborate further for others to comment on. Baseless assumptions are as useless as spams |

QUOTE(Jordy @ Mar 9 2008, 11:33 PM) We won't know how would the GE affect this because this year's GE was extraordinary. Jordy, we will see. Anyway, you should be glad, because this assumption will be your selling point to your customers. It is nothing we have experienced before, so we would wait and see rather than making wrong guesses. About the market reaching 900 or not, it is solely the assumption of guanteik. To reach that level, something really bad must happen. If not, I do not see any worry for that You may start accumulating slowly now which is advisable. The more the market drops, the more you could accumulate which will be good for you in the long term. |

QUOTE(wtt @ Mar 11 2008, 05:42 PM) Thanks for your reply Kingkong! Go for long term investment (3-5 years) if you are with PM. However, a good time to invest is when the indicator is red...In fact, I want to do some investment and finding a suitale fund to invest. My fren recommend me to buy new fund from PM (called Pulic Islamic Treasurer). But looking at volatility that our share market performed yesterday (10-Mar), it don't hv confidence in our domestic market. When I tried to looked the the list of price of the funds posted online by PM, all the fund showing red (drop in price). I don't wish to see my $ got shrink in the bank but yet I am a bit hestiate to invest. Can you advise me? Thanks! This post has been edited by guanteik: Mar 11 2008, 06:13 PM |

QUOTE(kingkong81 @ Mar 29 2008, 10:22 AM) Hey man...these are meant only for internal circulations...not to be publish for public. I personally feel Public Mutual has launched a lot of funds starting year 2007. And guess what, there is not-really-a-point to launch so many different types of funds just to get money from us. It's better they focus more (rather than launching new funds on an interval of a month) on the existing funds so that those existing buyers feel more confident to towards their funds...If u wan to use the info...u have to retype the things on your own, dun take n put in here bulat-bulat |

QUOTE(wtt @ Apr 7 2008, 02:32 PM) About Public Islamic Balance Fund Balanced funds are more 'balanced' then equities... if you are really scared of losing, go for FD or Bond Funds..Hi, I was advised by my agent to invest in Public Islamic Balance Fund as I told him I can take some moderate risk and expecting some moderate return on my investment. Finally I invested in Public Islamic Balance Fund (PIBF). But the price has been deteriorating and I have a paper lost of $1K per last Friday (4/4/08) price of $0.2668. I am thinking is it better for me to switch to other fund to avoid further loss? Can the experts here give some opinion? Many thanks! Wtt |

Hi,
I would like to check, say a fund had given distribution, by default if we do not tick 'PAYOUT', the distribution will be reinvested. Say if I want to withdraw that payout distribution, will this action impact my MQGP? |

QUOTE(Jordy @ Apr 14 2008, 10:47 AM) MGQP is calculated based on your total invested amount, and it is not based on your total value. Hi, what I mean is the payout from the distribution. I did not opt for a payout but instead, I take it out from my account after the distribution credited/So by selecting payout, you are not reducing your invested amount, but rather your value of investment. Therefore, it does not affect your MGQP. Unless you mean that if you plan to redeem the reinvested amount, then you are reducing your invested amount. Therefore, it will reduce your MGQP. |

QUOTE(Jordy @ Apr 14 2008, 11:22 AM) As I have mentioned in my second statement, if you redeem from your invested amount, you are reducing your MGQP. Anyway, if you would like to get the payout, you can opt for change your option. Please consult your servicing consultant. Thanks. your input has been useful it's easier for me to ask here rather than calling my servicing agent. |

QUOTE(Greybear @ Apr 15 2008, 01:26 PM) Hi, I've just invested in PB dragon fund. 3years capital protected(I'm not a risk taker so no guts to invest in other funds, although I know I could get better returns). Any other funds in PB are good and safe? If you really want to invest in 'FD' type of investment, I suggest you invest in FD rather than BOND Funds. From my experience, I will have one Bond fund on my own as a park lot, which means, when the market is doing badly like now, I will 'move' all my equities to bond to protect the value of it.Anyone can have their own way of investment... |

QUOTE(kingkong81 @ Apr 30 2008, 02:19 PM) The best thing is to get the clarification from your agent. If it is true that the agent made the mistake/buy other funds without your permission, you can file a complaint to CIMB or directly to the FMUTM. Thanks.... your information is very fast..For cooling off period...usually it is only available to those 1st time investor in that particular investment bank/company. But there is certain day for you to exercise this right... for example, for PMutual, it is 6 business days from the day of submission...if still within this 6-days, you can ask for full refund without charges....if after the 6-days, u cannot exercise this right & will have to sell-off your units & lose out in the service charged paid as well as lost incurred through daily trading that affects the price. for CIMB i'm not too sure wat is their cooling-period, so u might wan to check it out Added on April 30, 2008, 2:24 pmDECLARATION OF DISTRIBUTION FOR FINANCIAL YEAR-ENDING 30TH APRIL 2008 PIDF 2.00 sen/unit PFEBF 1.75 sen/unit PIADF 0.40 sen/unit |
