Hi there ,im looking to buy some unit trust any idea which fund is good buy for long term investment ???
*
Well Unit Trust Fund for one is aim for medium to long-term investment. So mayb you should get to know wat is your goal and how much risk to take before hand.

To me, for really long...long term investment, where u wan to keep until old 1, high risk fund will b an option. For long-term capital growth...else, a moderate-risk, Income fund is oso a good one...which 1? then u hv to hv a look lor.

Seems you like to that question again and again.

Newly launched funds will be announced in PM website. Surf that website.

Other that thread, usually there're dedicated threads going on to discuss newly launched funds like PCSF, PBCPEF, PSEASF and etc. There's a thread to discuss and monitor PM funds NAV. So many threads you can read from ...

It's clearly stated ... a PB series.

Fund carries a prefix of PB is a PB series fund.

For funds with less than 10k, not worth it to do switching at all..
Even if well executed, the profit is only very minimal, so no point to take all the trouble..
Let it grow by itself is the best..

i think is depend,if you want use the fund as long investment, then what you say is true.

but theme fund are not suitable for long invest,so as soon as it reach the profit you desire, then you can place a switch or redem.

just my RM0.02 smile.gif

On the EPF new rulings; I've got a confirmation that there would be scheduled table by KWSP.
It's would be sort of like the PCB table by LHDN.
In the table it would state that based on age what is the minimum amount required to be in account 1 before you can withdraw the money for investment. At least it's not going to be a RM50,000 minimum capping for withdrawal to invest.
So it's basically good news for whoever wishes to use EPF money for investment.

Yeap basically next year onwards I would get my account 2 for paying off my housing loans. (first withdrawal) than large portion of my EPF is going into unit trust mainly PM series.
Wonder would EPF reopen the choice of investing in foreign funds.

Limiting local funds really narrow down the option and make EPF money to invest in UT less attractive.

Hope EPF will relax the rule a bit

They changed the rules this year for EPF investment into local funds only.
That's the down part as many prefers oversea funds and also a lot of major funds are diversified between local and foreign, so this type of funds also cannot invest.
