I have been using Q5 for many months now. Using it for hours everyday without problem. Of course, keep it away from the sun, with some ventilation from the ceiling fan etc.

The good of Himedia box is the metal casing, the casing itself is the heat sink, you can run 24 hours continuously without problem. In the past few years, never have any customers encounter any issue after hours of watching. In the past ome seller trying to sell the USB fans together with the box which cause a lot of confusing in the market, to me this is not necessary.

I personally tested Q5II for 24hours few years ago, I'm very sure not heat issue with Q5II.First reformat your Q5II to isolate if hardware or software issue. It is important to get post sales support, when you have such issue you know what to do. Android is software driven device which you could recovered by reformat the OS first.

Sorry bro, the box does not come with Astro channels unless you subscribe to those Iptv services.

Free drama, movies and YouTube are no problem. Just bear in mind that free stuff have no service guaranty. So far most of the free streaming apps are stable, in case of any apps not working Just replace what th alternative apps.

The old model no longer available. Just curious to ask, why you look for older model since the new model has better spec and better price ?

What has been improved compare to H8 2+16?
1). Dual Band WIFI
2). Additional USB Port, USB2.0 Host*3
3). Bluetooth 4.0
4). Single Storage partition solving insufficient space to install apps.
5). 1000 Base-T Ethernet
