if i don't activate my citi card means no annual fees right?
*
They have the rights to impose because rightfully once card is approved, should be charged with AF. First year free right?
Why don't cancel it if no plan of using it? sweat.gif

QUOTE(imnotabot @ Aug 6 2017, 07:37 PM)
Same here. My application is still processing as of yesterday. I think I submitted my application 3 weeks ago. But I've received calls from them to verify my application, and my HR also mentioned that a bank called to ask about me, which I'm pretty sure is Citibank.
*
Citibank didn't call to my company for verification and I'm quite sure of this because my staff didn't tell me about receiving bank calls for me. tongue.gif
Your application is a bit too long though.

*
Yes, can call to cancel. Yes, please cancel or it will show under your CCRIS.

Ouh I see. Probably the latter. The highest CL I ever got is only 10k.
I already met their annual income requirement, hence why I simply shoot for Platinum. I don't really need it to be Platinum. I applied for their signup promo, and in case there's any promotion.
*
Ask them back why only grant you without Plat version since you have fulfilled the income requirement? If I were you, I will definitely ask.

Fulfill income is one of the category.

Banks can choose to offer you a different card or not offer you at all.

Like PBB's case.... Income exceed.... Approval another story  sweat.gif

Side note : My Cashback Citi limit > 15k but they still issue me the normal card  biggrin.gif
*
I understand approval is on bank's discretion but approving a lower level card must be something wrong. Cannot ask? Then what's the purpose of putting salary requirement and approves me with a lower level card?

Citibank also got minimum CL for a certain card ma.

Maybe salary lepas but banks can't offer that much CL due to their risk department reasoning.

For me, card color or level does not matter. Janji can use and CL enough  biggrin.gif
*
Hmm. The cap of cash back is different though for two levels of card. smile.gif

QUOTE(fly126 @ Aug 10 2017, 10:51 AM)
Like Your SCB Worldmiles WMC a  High Class Premium Card come with a very LOW little CL. rclxub.gif  mega_shok.gif  doh.gif
*
That is CL but this is lower level of card. biggrin.gif

Yeah, friday buy 1 free 1 is a good deal + you can choose either GSC or TGV.

Not limited to just 1 brand of cinema.

That's the cool thing  biggrin.gif
*
Yes, used it last Friday, quite cool. biggrin.gif

I thought banks usually don't disclose why exactly they disapprove or approve you a lower level card? Previously my CIMB card was rejected, and I called CS to ask exactly why. They mentioned that they cannot disclose that information. I assume it's the same for all banks.
*
Yes, rejection they won't disclose but now it is approved with lower tier card... Something must be wrong right? Anyway, up to you la. laugh.gif

hello sifus sekalian...I tried applying Citibank Citi Cash Back Card online but was faced with an error below. My annual income is beyond the bare minimum of RM 36,000, so I don't know why my application wont go through...can anyone advise what might be the reason? smile.gif

Looks like you didn't pass their system's approval, this is usually triggered by CCRIS. Any issue with it? Like for e.g. PTPTN outstanding?
Anyway, else you can try applying from bank directly (walk-in).

hmm highly unlikely, I have been making timely payment to PTPTN. Maybank recently granted me a credit card, if my CCRIS score is bad Maybank would not grant me no?
*
As what fly126 said (that could be a reason) and every bank has different ways of assessment. I have so many cards approved from various banks but until today PBB still rejects me, for the third time. laugh.gif

OT: Tried since 2015. Oh wait, was it two times only? Not sure la. Yes, will definitely try and must get my VS no matter what.

Citibank is quite easy for me, now waiting for RP's gift to arrive. biggrin.gif

Yes. I applied for Citibank Simplicity. But one question I wanna ask u guys, I already have Maybank 2 cards, HSBC Visa Platinum & Amanah, CIMB Visa Platinum & Enrich Platinum Master. So does the bank still approve my Citibank? The reason I applied this few banks is cause of their different benefits. But my usage is more on HSBC because of 12 swipe per annual in order to get annual fee free but the rest CC I have is free for life.
*
Can apply and let banks decide to approve you or not. No issue one, most of us here have plenty of cards. biggrin.gif

Not bad for a first credit card ohmy.gif

Always hear friends telling me that it's hard to get Citibank without any credit history
*
The other way round for me. Citibank is one of the easiest for those without credit history.

I've never been to treatfair. Is it only good for those with a lot of points or are there other promotions as well?
*
Yes but I don't have points too. I'm interested with the RM 1 flight tickets. I was told not required to use points to offset, just pay RM 1.
Luckily I'm working in The Gardens, gotta take some time off from boss to queue up. laugh.gif

Just first call and that's it.
Inform the CS that you would like a waiver directly before the annual fees month, if cannot just ask for card cancellation.
*
How is your usage? I'm thinking of applying PremierMiles. hmm.gif

PremierMiles no usage at all except the PPL unlimted free entry  brows.gif
For Visa CB, minimal usage on petrol to get 5% rebate
*
Sounds cool. Thanks. I will apply that PM then. biggrin.gif
Since so many cards have started to tighten up PPL accesses condition, I will need some backup now.
