Using Tm unifi 10mbps for few months and decided to take maxis 16mbps as secondary line to avoid downtime in office.

Now the problem is, maxis router is plugged to Lan 2 TM Unifi modem. If TM unifi modem fails one day, i wont have any internet connection at office.

Why maxis is not providing a separate modem with the fibre cable ?

Maxis still use the same TM back bone. If TM FAIL both will fail.

Thanks for your quick reply. Yup, im aware of maxis using TM backbone. My question is, why maxis router is plugged to existing TM unifi modem.

Was using Unifi for 5 months. TM provided tm modem and router...

Applied maxis just few weeks ago, maxis only provided router.. maxis router they plugged to existing TM modem? why maxis didnt provide a new modem with the fibre cabling services ?

if they both use same infrastructure then what kind of redundancy is this ? I dont see this as good choice. You may opt for something wireless such as TMGO or Yes mobile.

For the Fibre unit ..just ask Maxis .. that you want it to be separate because tomorrow if you want to give up TM then how can you run the maxis.

Kinda worried to take Yes mobile. Using maxis broadband at my office and the speed is good, thats why decided to go to Maxis fibre internet

now the maxis router is plugged to existing tm modem... if there is a failure in the tm modem such as power failure, modem burned or etc... my maxis fibre internet connection will also be affected.. i want maxis fibre router to run with a separate tm modem.

biggest problem is MAXIS did not provide their own set of equipments. Deswai my i turned down MAXIS.

Sharing TM backbone is not an issue since Maxis got their own DNS servers n so on and TM fiber is quite gud.

TM told me they will take back all their stuffs after d termination. Using Maxis Apps form, u can den goto TM Point to take back those equipment for ur maxis line after u proved tat u've subscribed to "Maxis under TM backbone"

i have no time for all this craps.

gud luck!

Insist for another set of separate fiber connection from the tm hub. But if they said the hub does not have enough slot than they will connect directly to the tm modem.

Usually they are lazy to pull another fiber cable.

Exactly, that's what most of the ppl are telling.... they are very lazy to pull another fibre cable. worse come to worst, i will just make a complain to the mcmc regarding this ... im just tired of waiting to get an answer from them.

sorry 2 say u wont get it man!

Maxis at 1st said all separate equipment will be given so i ok them.

By the time installer ppl came n said they will share TM equipment so i rejected them.

I ended up some maxis bills to explain and mess!

u better make them put it in black n white.

I am currently using TM and just signed up with Maxis due to the super duper promotion offered before August. By looking at the comment here, am I suppose to ask for 1) another set of modem from Maxis 2) pull another fiber cable but why since TM already done? Mind to share your opinion, pls. Thanks.
