Wahhh do you repaste thermal paste and do other maintenance job? My laptop never lasts more than 6 years.

1. Preferred Brand = Lenovo or Asus is preferred =) Might be open to other brands, but no Dell (bad experience with the brand)

2. Budget = Rm2k+-

3. Usage = General Work. Light gaming (LoL, Gw2, Dota)

4. Preferred laptop/screen size, 14'-15'. should be light enough to carry around to college. Hopefully decent battery life.

Msg well noted bro ! After consideration, I think I will give a try to either Dell 7447 / Dell 7559.

After a short searching of info and pros & cons based on my opinion :-

Dell 7447 - i7
Pros
- Cheaper (Found it RM 3.8k on net)

Cons
- "Old" product (release in 2014 I assume)
- Lower Graphic Card (850m)
- Window 8.1
- HDD

Dell 7559 - i7
Pros
- New product (release 1st Oct I assume)
- Better Graphic card (960m)
- Window 10
- Hybrid 1TB HDD + 8GB cache (sry I don't know whats that but assume it will be better with +8gb cache )

Cons
- More expensive (RM 4.8k)
- HDD (still prefer SSD after I read about the differences)

The basic info for comparison should be there Pls enlighten me if I missed out anything. 
Guess it also depends on the user's luck sometime ... hahah.. mine acer also tahan for 6 years dy

since I am a student I can download windows from msdn
thinking to install windows 7 / 8 / 8.1 > update to windows 10 > clean install windows 10

Important is stable and issue free(usb spoiled,screen yellow, not fast enough).

The Acer one barely make it to 4 hours battery life. The new Dell 7559 has a much longer battery life. Not sure if they have ready stock yet since it is a very new model.
