Hi, planning to change a new laptop since my previous one died on me

Anyways here are my requirements.

1. Budget friendly 1.5k and below
2. For everyday use (movies, youtube, documents)
3. casual gaming (dota 2, etc.)
4. engineering softwares (HYSYS, AutoCAD)

I'm just a normal guy with day to day usage only. Only thing Im heavy on are movies.

Appreciate it if anyone could suggest me some affordable ones.

Been looking through:

ASUS X550DP ; Lenovo G40-45 ; HP 15-G201AX

Or are there better choices for me out there?

2) Dell Inspiron 14 3000 (Pentium N3700)

Between the 2 which is a better processor ...

thx, but nowadays how long the battery can last? I m on the idea that only ultrabook can last 5-6 hrs on normal usage

Hi guys. I really need your help and suggestion for a new laptop.

1. Preferred Brand:
Any will do. I dont really mind the brand as long as it fits my budget.

2. Budget:
Below 3k. My initial budget is 2.5k but i can stretch it to 2.9 or 3k if the laptop is really really worth it. Also, i dont mind if the laptop is free dos because i intend to clean install windows 10 on it. (Plus i can save couple hundred ringgit)

3. Usage:
Movie editing, work and casual gaming. I play a lot of games actually but i dont play the games in high quality settings. Almost all the games I played before are played on medium settings (even though i can run skyrim on ultra settings on my pc). I'm more to 'performance first' kind of guy i guess.

4. Preferred laptop/screen size:
I dont really mind 14 or 15 inch but if I have to choose, i prefer 14".
Side note: I already did some research based on my friends suggestion and I quite like these 2 laptops, Dell Inspiron 7447 and Lenovo Y40-80. But I'm not that familiar with cpu and gpu so i dont know how both of these laptops perform. Any 7447 or y40 user out there willing to share their experience?

Btw, i'm not finalizing my option to just these 2 laptops, so if you have other laptop that you think is better than these or a cheaper one that can outperform these 2, do let me know 

This is my first laptop so im kind of nervous and scared if i might buy something that i might regret (you know that feeling)

I got some quotations for the dell inspiron 14 7447 and the asus k501lx-dm006h

The dell inspiron 14 7447 specs are i5-4210H, 4GB ram, GTX850M 4GB, 500GB HDD, Windows 8.1, 2 yrs warranty, selling for rm2869

The asus k501lx-dm006h specs are i5-5200U, 4GB ram, GTX950M 2GB, 1TB HDD, Windows 8.1, 2 yrs warranty, selling for around rm2800

The prices are of coz before nego-ing, dell's processor is better but its graphic card is weaker. Which one should i go for hmm?
