Well, I think Mou has the right to be angry, it's match time, adrenaline pumping, 2-2, 1 man down. If Hazard is receiving treatment and we concede a goal, memang habis lah. 1 point jadi 0 points. So under that circumstances and during the heated match, sure emotions will be flying around. Can't blame Mou for shouting at the medic team.
Mou did mentioned bout it during the post match conference. At first, I thot he mention bout it so that topics can be diverted to how we were down to 10 men, how we lost 2 points despite playing quite well. All this while I thot Mou talked bout it to divert attention from the team after losing 2 points. But then it snowballed when Eva posted in social media. Which is not a good thing oso la. Eva could've go to Mou's office and voice her dissent behind closed door. Which is why Mou blasted at Eva by saying she is naive. I think Mou is referring to Eva's post in social media. Hopefully it's all a masterstroke by Mou to distract the media's attention, relief the team's pressure and let the team prepare 100% for the next game against City. I can say that for the past few days news are mostly about Mou and Eva incident instead of how we drew 2-2 and Courtois not available against City. Okay there’s just so much being bandied about this carneiro ‘transfer’ thingy (had to happen in the transfer window as well, huhu) , let’s get a few things straight:-
Was she right to run on to the pitch to attend to hazard? Yes. Players’ safety and wellbeing is part of her job description and as many here have mentioned, it was the officials who waved her on. Was jose right to get upset? 9 men down. Closing stages of the game. First home fixture against a very2 slick Swansea team that were beginning to pull our back four apart. As a manager, wouldn’t you be? But of course criticising the medical team in public was a bit overboard, and this should’ve been settled behind closed doors instead. A bit of a PR disaster so to speak, but this wouldn’t be the first time and blues fans are pretty much used to this by now. Now we come to the gist of the incident. Did the club be ‘fair’ by reducing her role to off-filed duty after this little fiasco? As ‘unjust’ as it sounds, this was the most likely outcome. Eva should know the boss by now. This isn’t her first month at CFC and that post-match interview with a clearly annoyed jose should’ve sent alarm bells ringing through her head. I think one of our ex-physios put it rather aptly: “She could’ve played it down or played to it.” Clearly she played to it, and got ‘taken in’ by the overwhelming support from the social media crowd. Events on the field vs Swansea were the catalyst but that totally naïve “Thanks for the support” tweet she posted sealed her fate imo. It hinted that she believed she did the right thing (which by all accounts, she did) and chose to make a ‘public’ stand out of the whole thing. A simple post to ‘play it down’ would be something along the lines of “Just a simple misunderstanding. Let’s get the 3 points vs City!” or a “Hard earned point vs Swansea. Clean bill of health for everyone..” etc. To go up against your own boss who by now is well known to anyone with an inkling of interest in the EPL to have a bit of an ego (to put it mildly) is just silly. The only reason we’re being heavily criticised by it is because Chelsea are a globally recognised brand, and I guess some people expect all staff related to the club to walk with halos and rainbows on their head. Wake up and smell the thorns, this is still a working environment and incidents of employees stepping out of line on social media and being punished for it, happen on a fairly regular basis these days. Big boss versus employee, come on, what did she realistically expect to achieve with that statement? Even keeping mum would’ve been a good choice, as things would probably be settled by the time we visit the Etihad. In a week where west ham’s sakho is being investigated for assault and jamie vardy reprimanded for a racist slur, isn’t it typical of the media to keep the spotlight on us? Jose Mourinho addresses Eva Carneiro row - Chelsea press conference live
- HERE Opening Statement QUOTE “Look, I hope this room is full because the champions will be playing against the former champion, because we have hopefully a big match on Sunday". "But I knew it already. It is not a surprise. No question. I don’t want to run away from it. I accept the question, and understand". “First of all, I want to say I have a fantastic medical led by Dr Paco Biosca, more than a dozen professionals, have a very good relation with them and as they tell me all the time, they were never praised so much as in last few years. I praise them lots of times.” “We have disagreements during this period, we need disagreements to improve. We work together". “Your question about the bench. For some people it’s important. For others, it’s not It’s my decision” “Dr Ferne and Dr Carneiro will not be on the bench, but doesn’t mean for rest of season". "I have seven assistants, only four can go on the bench. We have four kitmen, only one can come out. Important to be on the bench for some, for others is more important what they do, their contribution, what they do for the good of the team". "I don't want to run away from the question. Jon Fearn and Carneiro will not be on the bench. They will not be on the bench on Sunday, it is my decision, my responsibility, but that does not mean it will be that way in the future". "If you want to discuss football I am here, if you don't I am not." "If someone thinks a disagreement between staff could have an effect on preparations... somebody who doesn't have a clue about football matches. We are speaking about 38 matches, it is an eternity, a marathon that started last week. I cannot say it's not crucial, I cannot say it's not very, very, very important. It's title contenders so three points are important but I cannot say that a win will mean anything significant for the winner or the loser." I think this should put the end for this issue for now, we have a much more important thing this weekend, City |
