from my view:

1.its a psycho frame MG kit, meaning other than a frame inside.. theres a layer of transparent psycho frame

2. it can transform, meaning the parts are moving parts n many small pieces,

3. not suitable for beginners.. meaning u'll end up frustrated or annoyed with the kit build

Actually Unicorn is the 1st Gundam I build after quitting so many years, the only thing that annoy me is the joint, weak joint everywhere doh.gif
Otherwise i think it's nice since everything is white, very forgiving for sanding error

its a transformable kit.. in destroy mode most part fall out of place if you move it or try to pose it.. articulation is moderate, for play factor its not so good...
to me a good kit would be the strike variants from seed line up... they mostly win in overall review of the kit..

but way back then i use only nail clipper and the nail clipper "filer" to do everything, no coating, no panel line, no decals sweat.gif
that's almost 10 years ago doh.gif

some of my ugly collection, Nu and Wing Zero was given away to my cousin 2 years ago, now regret man, could have refurbish the kits sad.gif

1. beginner should stay away for any transformable MG, not just only Unicorn as they dont familiar with gunpla yet
2. yes, it is hard to build for beginner, you will ended up broke some part, many Unicorn owners reported broke the v-fin, thats including me

As a beginner u are not yet familiar building n assembling a kit yet, a transformable kit like unicorn will complicate the matter as there r way too many small moving parts and fragile to boot. All of us was a beginner at 1 point and all of us made beginner mistake, it is inevitable and as a result all of our beginner kit look like crap. Making a mistake on a simple kit is not as painful as making it on unicorn, buying an expensive kit as ur 1st is a big waste of money.

to those of us with experience, we dont considered it as hard per se just annoying. But if u go into it as a beginner then yes it is hard for the sheer amount of intricacy and mechanism to make the whole thing work. Its not that bad of a kit just not as solid as most recent ones. Its not a kit u can play around with and u have to 1st know its limitation, u hav to consider what it is and what it isnt b4 even buying it or u'll be disappointed.

i wonder if this is the actual runner color, the official photo has white beam saber while this show as grey and the obvious white palm make me feel like it's not painted for preview. What worrying me is that the psycho frame will be stickers instead of seperate part, the win fin probably is stickers too as seen in this photo sad.gif

100% sure will be foil sticker... inspect SDEX Strike up close at JS-Hobby the other day, most colour separation are using stickers.
