Installed 'Korea Yamujin DIY sound insulation rubber strip' yesterday.
It makes no difference (to me).

Thanks.

Bosch or Blaupunkt HU?
If Blaupunkt, please try to do screen calibration first.
Same? Complain to SC.
Thanks.

just to share out with you guys, on preve that i took to svc center to solve rattling issue. warning : long karangan

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

TLDR:
1. proton glenmarie should be avoided at all cost if next three (3) weeks have festival holiday (Haj holiday included)
2. rattling sound in the preve not caused by dashboard loose as 3rd party svc center claimed.
3. 3rd party svc centre should be avoided if possible.
4. changing gearbox mounting + engine mouting solved the rattling issue.
even though its old and not new compared to ss13/glenmarie,

i personally recommend Proton Edar Seremban svc center

Where is Proton Edar Seremban?
Is it at Jalan Mantin Light Industrial?

Thanks.

Bros, my CFE suddenly show the traction control sign.
And I cant turn it back on by pressing the button.
any idea or tips besides going back to SC?

Here are the possibilities:-

1. Alignment
2. ESC sensor (dusty)
3. Do Steering Angle Re-zero (Need to check with PADT. I have this problem, before)

Thanks.

Hi PREVE CFE owners,

Can I check if your new PREVE CFE vehicle comes with the Remote Control unit for its BLAUPUNKT DVD-cum-GPS HU when taking delivery.

Recently, I realized that mine did not come with the Remote Control unit.
Thanks.

Same here.
No remote control.

Any super glue will do the job.. how I found this, I use something like play doh to do testing. Top 2 corner will get the noise disappeared.

Attached sample of the edge of that small rear window..

Hi all,

My PREVE's battery is coming to 3 years and its voltage is not very healthy (about 12.1V before morning start).

Have any of you tried the  Bateriku.com before?  Are they good?
From their App, the CENTURY 55D23L Marathoner Maintenance Free battery with 12-month warranty will cost RM280.00, which seems very reasonable.

Appreciate for any valuable feedback.
*
I changed mine (Amaron - RM290 1.8 years warranty) with bateriku.com.
They will check your battery and alternator health before change.
But still they will suggest you to change the battery as 2/3 years is the lifespan for MF battery.
To avoid ECU/TCU reset, they will not disconnect the battery directly.
Good service from them(bateriku.com Seremban)

I suggest, just change before it die.

I am not sure what is meant by a fuse leaking as it was reported by the service adviser. I guess a fuse in the UEC box has leaked which cause the air-cond to be not cold. After the replacement of the UEC box, the old (damaged) UEC box was left on the table for me to have a look. It's quite big and heavy, about the size of a large lunchbox. I was asked whether I wanted to keep it but I told the guy to have it thrown away since it is of no use to me.

If the air-conditioner of you car is cold at night, chances are it's working fine. Perhaps gas is running out if it's not cold in the day due to hot sun. In my case the air-cond is just blowing warm (room temperature) air so it's not cold at all conditions.
*
I have this problem before.

1. Was the fan not spin at high speed?
2. Did you check the fan relay (K1 - high speed; K2 - low speed)?

P/S: You should keep the fusebox as it can be repaired(as backup) or sell to others(spare parts)

Thank you.

As a matter of fact and again from my own experience, the driven wheels usually last 3 times as long as the drive wheels, assuming all alignments and working pressures are in proper.  I experienced this with all types of vehicles, including my own bicycle and motorcycle.  So, why not new tires be installed on the drive wheels to provide a better grip at any time?

Theoretically, for a front wheel drive vehicle, if the traction and grip can be recovered as soon as aquaplaning has occurred on its front wheels, the rear (driven) wheels will quickly get "in-line" again because they are just being "pulled" by the direction of the front wheels.  The rear wheels don't provide any propulsion to the vehicle.

Also, the front wheels are always specified to be pumped to a slightly higher pressure (for my PREVE is 32psi (front) and 30.5psi (rear)) than the rear as the front is heavier due to the location of the engine.  This also supports that a deeper threaded (or new) tires should be installed on the front.  The above are my own opinions.

Is this during hot or cold tyre?

Wow, your SC is very responsible.  My SC here in Larkin, JB, is not so.  In September 2018, I had asked them about the ECU update (as those in this forum said that there is a new version available), they told me that they still haven't receive it and will call me when it's made available in Larkin.  Till now, more than 8 months already, still no call from them and I also don't want to ask them anymore during my last servicing.  I have also given up since the current original version is not giving me any problem.

At the next servicing, I'll check with them about this CVT damper replacement, but I'm sure they'll ask me to wait for their call as usual.  PROTON's after sales service is indeed disappointing.

Go to other SC la. Better update to the latest firmware. After update, no more headlamp flickering when aircond compressor kick-in.

Thanks for your good advice.  However, I think if the whole throttle body is removed, I'll also need to replace with new gaskets, right?  I do have the THREEBOND Engine Conditioner (TB6601J) which I had previously used for my PROTON SAGA's throttle body, but without dismantling.  During that time, the problem was unstable idling during morning starts.  Unfortunately, even after spraying the THREEBOND Engine Conditioner (TB6601J), the problem was still there.  Maybe without dismantling the whole throttle body, the cleaning wasn't done correctly/thoroughly?  Few months later, I traded in for the PREVE.

Anyway, it would help greatly if I can have a chance to speak to a mechanic in JB who is well versed with Preve repairs.  Otherwise, I know most of them are just "hit and run" types and may tell you to change parts which may not be related to the pending problem at all.  Just like the post on the Prevoc Facebook whereby the PROTON SC asked the owner to change the whole Turbo unit because they "suspected" that is the cause of the problem.  In my opinion, problems with Turbo unit should cause unsatisfactory/inconsistent/lag acceleration problems, not starting problems.  So, what happens if after spending RM5k to replace the Turbo unit , but the problem is still not resolved?  These trial and error troubleshooting methods are not practical, not to mention also very expensive for this particular case.

I option I'm thinking now is to change the spark plugs, but I'm also of the opinion that since they are only used till 19,000 km mileage presently, this may not be the problem, not to mention that the original spark plugs are Iridium, which should easily outlasts 60,000 km.  Furthermore, my this difficult to start problem never happens during cold/morning starts.  It will only happen after the engine has been shut down for between 1 and 1½ hours, and also, intermittently, not always, although it's getting more frequent lately.  This is the most frustrating aspect because one cannot pinpoint exactly where is the source of the fault.
*
1. May I know how you start the car? 1 way or 3 way start? Before, i used to 1 way. Same problem. Need to 2 3 times to start. Went to SC Nilai, they ask me to use 3 way start. Then, problem gone.

If your problem still persists, maybe you can try 2nd opinion from Zordaq Motorsports JB. They are specialist in campro engine. By the way, I am from Seremban. Used to send my car at Zordaq Motorsports Nilai/Putrajaya.

The culprit maybe:-
1. Fuel filter
2. TB
3. Fuel pump
4. Spark plug
5. OCV

Thanks.

That's low. My suprima does about 10.4l/100km city and 8.2l/100km highway. Your fuel consumption is very good.
I haven't seen a 4300K LED before. Mostly is 6000K. I use 4300K Osram HID kit. Happy with the slightly brighter beam. Hi beams are on Osram Nightbreaker. Good enough to shine to trees on dark roads.

Install HID on original projector? Mind to share the beam pattern/cut-off. Thanks.

Hi,

I planned to install 3 10" monitors in my car. 1 front(replace current HU) and 2 at the back(headrest).
Currently my car is powered with Amaron Go 55D23L battery. Is the power enough? Thanks.
