Hai guys, here is a brief of my life throughout the past 6 years. My decision makings are related to lowyat forum feedbacks with the threads related intact.
I`ll be 27 this year. smile.gif
the flow is as following

1. Making a decision after graduate from diploma (part time vs fulltime studies)
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1319356/all

Decision made: Took a fulltime-job + part time studies
result:
- Studies under full scholarship with study benefits (exp. study leave, exam leave)
- 5 years working experience
- Still working with the same company till date
- Will graduate with degree in 2016
- debt free icon_rolleyes.gif
- Happily married for 3 years wub.gif

2. Along the way dilemma
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3009040/all
Decision made: Stayed in the same company till date
result:
- Same as above
- No sent to training/certs
- a key player in the projects, even though i only have a diploma.
- overall happy with the decision made
- the industry i`m in seems bright so far (UAV, drones, aviation)

3. Upgrading myself
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2470748/all
Decision made: Stayed in the same company till date
result:
- Given the chance to do some programming project and succeeded (I`m electrical base fyi). therefore increase knowledge in programming
- I still dont have any proper/competent certification that makes me feel abit secure about myself in the future (my brother has 20+ certs in less than 2 years from his company) cry.gif
- Still dont know where to search for trainings? anyone could help? icon_question.gif

TODAY
Here is my current status as of date
- No debt
- Married + expected child
- 5 years working experience
- expected graduate 2017 under full scholarship
- No certs or training throughout working here
- key player in project
- I like my working environment

Right now I have a sense of nothingness or no motivation and I don`t know why. doh.gif
Please advise icon_question.gif

Sometimes I wonder, is this what I want in life sweat.gif

I`m the type of person who don`t spend much, and the type that DIY alot. it`s a passion of mine.
and I plan my expenses well, that`s what make me debt free till date. I live within my means.

i`m staying in KL, work in KL with my diploma and doing part time studies for my degree. my classes are on sat & sundays only, so it`s no problem at all

regarding burden, I don`t think I am burden at all since
- my studies are paid for
- No loan house/car etc
- I own a car & 2 motorbikes (fully paid cash. 2nd hand. with a jackpot price for it)

Currently happy with my family. Every lunch time I can go back home for a nap & lunch together since my home and workplace is very near.

get a hobby. follow your passion.

i think at this point, more money or material gratification won't bring much more happiness....

Yeah, I`d sometimes ask myself, what the hell am I doing here. As always, as a young guy before graduate, we`d always thought the world was all sunshine and rainbows.
As we progress in life, we`d accept the harsh reality working in malaysia.

I`d even considered to migrate, as did my brother. now earning handsome salary in the EU. Before I could consider that, I believe i`d just have to graduate my degree 1st.

I got married when I was 23. Yes, all the expenses came from me. Not a grand wedding. all in less than 12k in 2012. and only one majlis.
I started saving money since my univ days, it`s just a habit of mine, I also make some money here and there, like selling phones, motorbike, cars. for example i sold a 4x4 and made 5k. the owner said he wanted a certain amount of money and that`s it, anything more, I could take it. So i sold that 4x4 and made 5k. i`d also buy 2nd hand bikes for like 2k, then sell it for 3k, 1k profit there. i`d repair student computers, printing service at my room etc. Usually I just try things out.

Maybe you are just comfortable with what you have now. So that's why you feel so.

Be an inventor and invent something like GoPro for 1/3 the price.

Develop a website to help people compare prices in lazada, 11street, lelong, mudah, etc

Take up an investment tutorial, learn how to make profit from forex, stock market, commodities trading, etc

Take up music lesson and create your own mix and become the next DJ Tiesto

There are endless things you can do. Why settle for something less?

hmm maybe you need to start reading a motivational book.. or watching any youtube video talking about motivation in life
get some idea to set up a goal in life
list it out. focus. make it happen.

but am sure, for current stage, you dont have any goals right?
if yes, that's a real problem
I can see, it's not abt making more money, it's abt to be happy in your life nod.gif
