Poslaju refund takes sometime too...I had a case of missing package which took almost 2 mths depending on the investigating officer for each case....luckily it was insured an at least i got some cash back...

My point is to seller and buyer, don't expect a quick refund.

How much did they pay you?
Are you required to fill in the value of the item that gone missing?

They paid me the full value of what i filled in but there is a limit to a certain amount only. I sent a package to spain but package went missing on our malaysian postal services. I had to refund buyer from ebay and fill in a form at our malaysian post office.

The package was insured for RM200 and I got the amount back after the waiting period.

Is seller or buyer going to complain to poslaju? If yes then please go ahead and complain but do please write up an article about your experience or steps to doing it. As we are trading so much using poslaju, it's time we educated users on how to claim from poslaju correctly.

1. Receiver bring the package to the nearest poslaju office, in your case he says Poslaju Kajang (not sure near to you or not), show it to the officer and expect the officer to take a picture of it. Then fill up a form.

"the package"= all the 4 fans you send me in the package? or just the broken fan and the plastic wraps?

Maybe you can just bring one to show them the 'good' condition to compare with the one that got broken.

Poslaju nowadays
may be we have to put extra writing on the cover like
TOLONG JANGAN LIPAT! OR
TOLONG JANGAN CAMPAK! OR
PEGANG DENGAN CERMAT! OR
KALAU ROSAK, SILA GANTI!

at least when the idiot postman see this, may be, may be they can follow

I'm not sure dude. I suppose you should do it probably within a week?
Just go to the nearest post office during its working hours.

If really cannot wait, perhaps the seller pay the $$ profit to the buyer. Then buyer can glue back the part broken. Faster.

If can wait, report.. and wait a few months.

Firstly, I would have done so IF SPECIFICALLY requested by buyers.

Like you say, I didnt do it because of the higher cost, as it would be regarded as parcel instead of document. Furthermore, some of my buyers praise the way I packed and NEVER, yes I repeat, NEVER had any complaints with it.

Till now, mikelanding and seanl did not point their fingers on me. And I'm currently doing my best to do my part.
