After 25 successful delivery to my Panaflo Bulk buyers using PosLaju the unexpected happened when 2 of my most recent buyers suffered the same fate for damage fans.

mikelanding was the first person to report to me when received his fans. The frame of his fan was so badly damage that it looks like a rat had eaten part of it. The only cause that I could think of was the poslaju man handled them SO badly that a sturdy and solid fan can have its frame chipped off. I suggest mikelanding to check if it was pierced on the package by any sharp objects and he found a suspicious tear on the package which might suggest that PosLaju actually did that. Here are some pics by mikelanding.

PIC 1: The damage on the frame
PIC2: Package
PIC3, PIC4: The area that mikelanding and I believe that have been pierced
PIC5: Upclose on the damage

My procedures in packing:

I usually send my fans using envelopes and just recently use the plastic bag provided by PosLaju (only for seanl's packing). For mikelanding, I used my usual way of packing which is wrapped with bubble wraps followed by another layer for brown paper (to prevent opening the envelope to peep what's inside) and into the envelope. Then I'll ensure that the officer attach the FRAGILE sticker on it.

The difference that I done this time is going to a bigger post office in SS15 instead of the post office in Giant USJ because I had to meet with another buyer in that area. Another difference is that the FRAGILE sticker has shrink so small that it is barely noticeable.

Suggestions that would benefit both parties

mikelanding and I do not have much options right now and would love to hear from th member. We however have agreed that we the person should be held responsible is Poslaju for mishandling the package. Unfortunately, we don't really the proper procedure to do it ie whether mikelanding should go to the post office or me.

They have both big and small stickers. usually when the big ones are out of stock, they'll give you the small ones and you are forced to use em even they are barely noticeable

btw

1. have you tried to discuss with the buyer about this and proposed a solution?

Hold your rights or pay 20 to 30% of the item cost to the buyer and if you're responsible 'lah' . wink.gif

Yup, in IM.
Our main objective is whether we can hold PosLaju responsible for it.

mikelanding and I don't know the proper procedure as in which Post Office we have to go to (the place I sent or main post office) and whether I should be the one bringing it up or him (sender or receiver).

perhaps you can try calling 1300-300-300 and ask the officers the procedures to claim damaged item and ask them whether to claim at the post office you posted or at the post office he received from.

have you followed their standard procedure to claim the item before screwing them or you screw them for the sake to ask them to apologize to you?

Just try calling the Poslaju line and ask about it
They should let u know about the procedure or redirect you to wherever apropriate, of course sounding pissed off might be more convincing
I'm guessing the sender should be the one calling

That day i bought a ASUS DVD burner from Kuching using POS LAJU.
When the parcel arrive. i also found out that the box " kemek " on the corner. And seem like somebody force to open the box.

Very lucky the burner dun hv problem. Just don't know how POS LAJU handle the parcel when shipping.

I think POS LAJU worker simply throw the parcel on the floor and take it like rubbish.

Previously, none of the poslaju packages I received or send had any problems, even some when I buy some from others which does not have fragile sticker.

And I dont think my fans can get damage so easily unless it done on purpose. Yes, now I'm pointing my fingers on PosLaju after this incident.

Seller and I had actually discuss in peace on how to deal with it. My intention is try to deal with Poslaju. Coz it is clearly a mishandling from Poslaju side. The damage was from the hole, I suspect some1 try to peek inside ( maybe for inspection purpose) and pinch a hole using finger, but accidentally break the fan edge. As shown on photo

Panaflo actually had thinner side compare to other brand(which i had) like NMB, Sun Ace, Glove Fan, Yat Loons or Evercool. If U own a panaflo, U will know what I mean.. wink.gif

Just in case you didnt get my msg on IM.

Here's the procedure suggested by the poslaju officer (Razi) I called this morning.

1. Receiver bring the package to the nearest poslaju office, in your case he says Poslaju Kajang (not sure near to you or not), show it to the officer and expect the officer to take a picture of it. Then fill up a form.

2. The form will then be sent to the Poslajuu HQ for them to process and assess.

3. After that, poslaju will contact me to take care the rest of the thing

Poslaju refund takes sometime too...I had a case of missing package which took almost 2 mths depending on the investigating officer for each case....luckily it was insured an at least i got some cash back...

My point is to seller and buyer, don't expect a quick refund.
