Football is without doubt need teamplayers across the field .

the greatest pairs that to ever grace the football field are :

-Puskas and DiStefano
-Pele and Garrincha
-Bobby Moore and B.Charlton
-Beckenbaur and Muller
-Johan Cruyff and Johan Neeskens
-Michel Platini and Luiz Fernandez (part of the Magic Diamond )

Errrr, I wonder how many footie fans here in total that have ever watched a full match featuring Platini or those listed above. As far as I can remember everytime I turn on the tv when I wasnt really that interested in footie, Dwight Yorke - Andy Cole pair seems to always score.

i'd say

Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole

lethal strikers during the 2000 era :/

I know i'm gonna talking out of topic:

IMO the future of "Great footballers that succeed in formidable pair" is:

Nemanja Vidic & Rio ferdinand... Why??...
Coz 11 games that this pair played together, man utd not conceding any goal except a penalty n a freekick...

There's more to come from them.. They will become legendary pair..

hmm.

one more, i'd say

Beckham - van Nistelrooy

why? Beckham supplies, van Nistelrooy finishes (in my opinion tho, ever since Becks left, seems like he's not banging in goals anymore)

I like the pairing of Garrincha and Pele. Not forgetting Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole. Both are superb thumbup.gif
