These people advocate the Paleo Diet, which is a high protein, high fat, low carbohydrate diet. Many here seem to following it. http://robbwolf.com/2012/10/05/serotonin-d...-food-cravings/ However, these women advise their Serotonin Diet, which is high carbohydrate, low protein and low fat. http://www.serotoninpowerdiet.com/ http://www.everydayhealth.com/depression/s...depression.aspx http://bebrainfit.com/serotonin-deficiency/ http://bebrainfit.com/serotonin-foods-mood-brain/ I would prefer a more balanced and moderate diet - Barry Sear's Zone Diet, also called the 40/30/30 diet - 40 % carbohydrates 30 % protein 30 % fats In terms of the Asian diet, this is roughly, at each meal - One fistful of rice Two fistfuls of meat One fistful of vegetables http://www.zonediet.com/ http://www.zonediet.com/blog/anxiety-and-o...-3-fatty-acids/ '' ..... a woman who’s brain fog and depression disappeared when she started the Zone diet. ' '' I purchased the book ''Enter the Zone'' and started to follow the programme in mid-February 1997. I noticed an improvement in energy levels from the third week. By mid July 1997 I had lost 3 stone and all my other complaints have disappeared. Back pain, sore knees and all pain and stiffness in my muscles have gone. I feel happy and optimistic, I sleep soundly five or six hours a night and am mentally alert the rest of the time. I wake feeling refreshed each morning. I have heaps of energy for the first time in my life. My blood pressure is normal. I have never felt so utterly WELL.” http://paleozonenutrition.com/2010/12/10/g...in-quick-links/ Many celebrities are on the Zone - Madonna, Tom Cruise, Jennifer Anniston, Sandra Bullock, Drew Barrymore, Bill Cosby, Charlie Sheen, Kevin Costner, Ben Stiller, Tiger Woods, Renee Zellweger. QUOTE(alvin aka gHostoNg @ Jul 26 2015, 01:06 AM) If this is the case, it might be something not right going on. I did went for check up regarding on my chest pain issue. Everything is fine, the doctor gave me some medicine but the pain still come back.I do feel anxiety sometimes, and feeling a little dizzy and heartbeat fast but I do not feel chest pain or nausea. I think you should check out with doctor sooner. Just to be sure it is just stress, not other health issue. I can't comment further on health issue because I have no experience in medical aids.. sryyy.. Have you try to voice out to anyone what EXACTLY is bothering you in ur mind? pin point the events. This would help too, sometimes speaking out is a way too.. And yea, I speak to my best friend, and I'm glad that my friend is really supportive. Thanks Alvin~ you are nice |

Since you are so apprehensive about supplements, you had better not take them. Just follow the advice of the others. |

Your problem is biochemical, not psychological. You have too little serotonin circulating in your system, especially your brain. Too little serotonin can cause enxiety and depression. That is why supplements can help to increase the serotonin. Those supplements are quite common, well-known and quite safe. I have taken 5-HTP before, 100 mg before bed. No side effects. http://www.iherb.com/Now-Foods-5-HTP-100-mg-120-Vcaps/306 Some of them here are also taking St John's Wort, well-known herb for depression and anxiety. Anyway, you may also try hypnosis. There is a practising psychologist trained in hypnosis posting here, Mr Hiro Koo. His center is at the former Galleria Complex in Jln Setapak. http://www.newmindcentre.com/p/contact-us.html His user name is Zeropoint9. You could try messaging him. If you want to consult a psychiatrist, Dr Cheah Wing Yin at Sunway Medical Center also knows hypnosis. I was taking it more as a sleeping and calming aid, and I'm also an anxious person like you. You could try 50 mg for a start. Preferably take an enteric-coated tablet or capsule to minimize stomach discomfort. http://www.iherb.com/Thompson-5-HTP-50-mg-...ggie-Caps/14536 Country Life's product is expensive, but seems to have good reviews. http://www.iherb.com/Country-Life-Gluten-F...-detail-reviews |

Your brain is made up of billions of brain cells called neurons, which use electricity to communicate with each other. Your beta brainwaves might be highly active (beta waves are often associated with active, busy, or anxious thinking and active concentration). Normally you can know more about yourself after an EEG biofeedback assessment session.
You may want to consider self-hypnosis. Self-hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of mind which can be defined as a heightened state of focused concentration. With it, you can change your thinking, reducing stress and anxiety. Make sure you find a Licensed Hypnotherapist in Malaysia to help you (In Malaysia, Hypnotherapist is regulated by the Ministry of Health) |

QUOTE(fannyong8512 @ Aug 3 2015, 12:21 AM) I have a slightly different approach. To analyse the brainwaves, I will use the neurotherapy technology, whereby one can observe the brainwave going into different state such as delta, theta, alpha and beta brainwave while the suggestion is being given by the clinical hypnotherapist during the therapy session, personalized self-hypnosis method will be developed based on the brainwave observation. During the self hypnosis session, electrodes are applied to the individual’s scalp, which allow the patient and therapist to “listen in” on brainwave activity. The electrodes do not hurt and conduct no amount of electricity that one can feel. The person’s hair is not removed or shaven during the electrode placement. This is done in “real-time,” so the person sees exactly what is going on in their brain as they think certain thoughts, feel stressed, or feel relaxed. After you learn how to do self hypnosis, You will learn how to regulate your brain naturally, without pharmaceutical medications. You can read this case: http://www.newmindcentre.com/2015/04/testi...t-malaysia.html |
