i used purevpn before.it's unlimited as in the vpn provider does not meter your use of their vpn server.
but the ISP meters you on your way to reach the VPN server.

if you use windows.
there's an upload/download meter when you view network properties. imagine that as your ISP metering your usage. it does not matter whether you use vpn or not, that meter will keep on climbing, right? because we count the raw bytes that gets transferred, not the application payload that is hidden within those stream of bytes. so those who believe vpn can hide their activity, they are correct.
but those who think it also gives you unlimited transfer of bytes, think again. |

another example:
post office. they charge you for the weight or based on dimension of package. but they don't really care what's inside. same goes for network. the simplest for them to decide whether it should be youtube unlimited or facebook unlimited or whatsapp unlimited or everything else, is by looking at the IP address of the server you're trying to reach and then discriminate based on that. even if you use EHI injector, it's unlikely that you'll be smuggling your traffic through a loophole installed in a facebook server's IP address. |

QUOTE(vostro78 @ Mar 19 2017, 07:37 AM) If ur monthly usage can't finish the remaining data , then carry forward data is not a necessary for u. well, in that sense, if I can finish it, then I can benefit from carry forward?"you can take-away your leftovers when you can finish it, but cannot take-away when you cannot finish it." ----------- I was benefitting from the carry forward in my line of job. some months, I don't need to do remote support. but in another month, I will be required to push for more than 3GB. QUOTE(sitescope @ Mar 28 2017, 07:00 PM) the second you stepped over midnight into the the new billing cycle, the full commitment fee is applicable.thus, if you need to terminate relation with celcom, do it almost at the end of billing cycle (since you are going to be charged anyway), but make sure termination is completed before new bill. unpaid commitment + any excess charges accrued at termination is still applicable. |

QUOTE(alex458 @ Apr 13 2017, 03:06 PM) Hi there, hell... i've been having 4G nightmares since yesterday.Has anyone facing issue on the 4g network? Yesterday i had been facing not able to receive any call from others while I'm 4g network. Once i switch to 3g/2g, it's able to receive call. I know currently the 4g is not supported on voice call but it should be able to switch to 3g when receiving the call right? I even use other's type of phone to test and still the same. to the point that i had to buy data quota on hotlink to get by temporarily. |

QUOTE(LightningZERO @ Apr 13 2017, 11:27 PM) Yeah...now it seems my imessage is activated, should be fine now remember to count back based on the 50 bundled sms as well. else they might reverse all the i-charges beyond the 50sms. you shouldn't have to pay for non-apple sms at #56 in the bill when all the first 50+5 sms preceding it are for apple-related.The celcom cs say that can raise a case to ask them to remove the activation sms fee though, once bill is up |

QUOTE(westlife @ May 8 2017, 09:22 AM) 4th May, definitely! want more?you should consider to switch as i seriously feel that rm7 extra for the 2gb (all day) + 5gb (weekend) is worth the money if you are going to use the line as main line in long run. do you mind to share the content of sms? I have two basic first 38 that i would like to switch to this rm45 10gb plan but i seem not to receive any sms on this. add the "promo" auto-renew 2GB add-on for RM18. |

QUOTE(tenchi0205 @ May 9 2017, 04:13 PM) Seem like still valid...but my billing cycle is 20th, so she advise me to change the plan at 20th of the mth. (1) the charge for "first" month of the new plan is always pro-rated. i.e. if they completed the switch 2 days before your new billing cycle starts, then the new plan will be prorated for those 2 days. Thanks!~ (2) processing the switch request itself might take more than 24hrs to complete. i had to chase mine after 24hrs mark. (3) once you cross the second at midnight into new billing cycle, it will charge full for the new billing cycle. so if your switch completes hours after midnight, you'll still be charged full for RM38 + pro-rated charge for the new plan that you switched to. so my advice, do it few days before your new billing cycle, not too soon that you end up paying too much pro-rated of new plan while still having to pay full for previous plan, and not so late that you gonna get whacked after midnight by .... previous plan in previous month + previous plan in current month + prorated new plan in current month of course, it does not mean you cannot plead for reconsideration if such happens. i am just telling you what could happen if you didn't time it properly. since celcom will charge full commitment in every billing cycle. |
