apa kena-mengena ngan hang? u know nothing about Fiesta? brows.gif

Non-owners are welcomed to post here, this is a public forum after all. But when they posts wrong information here based on hearsay, especially being non-owners, and assert that it is the truth, then I will not hesitate to call them out.

In what fantasyland would a carmaker not stock spare parts? limited stocks maybe, but not stock at all? And since when any Ford car being hold by a service center for 2 weeks was ever considered normal?

I myself post in many car club threads if I feel I can contribute, but always with researched facts or if such facts cannot be verified, I would be sure to admit so.

You live in a dream world. In the Ford Focus car club there are plenty of posts from owners who have to wait for parts. Here is an example - Post #1423

QUOTE
"Hi guys, i'm driving Focus Sport+ (MK3). Today, I went for my 3rd service at about 30,000km, at Ford Rosmerah, Johor Jaya, JB. The free service covers for engine oil and oil filter. But, unfortunately upon further inspection, noticed a leaking under the engine. The technician said fly wheel oil seal. But, later, the superior said, maybe gearbox or worst clutch problem.

Before flushing the old engine oil, the level of oil is very minimal (as in the picture posted). But, the engine indicator lamp never lit up in the dashboard.

Now, they want to investigate first and let me know later. If, clutch problem, I will need to wait for 6 months due to shortage of stocks.
Right now, I just need to monitor the engine oil level."

You can continue to deny that SDAC has a spare parts problem but it doesn't change the reality.

So limited spare parts = no spare parts now? Ford SC kept his car for 2 weeks ka? Remember you said "SDAC does not stock spare parts" and "2 weeks is not abnormal"?

Powershift clutchpack shortage is a problem in every country that sells the Focus and Fiesta, it's not a strictly SDAC issue. Of course you didn't know, why would you?

Again, stop commenting on stuffs you know nothing about.

I had a 2013 Ford Focus before. I can tell you one thing, my dual clutch stalled and broke down a few times. And when it stalls, it locks the gear and tires. You are just stuck. I kena in the middle of Federal Highway peak hours. Everybody curse me. Cannot even push the car to emergency lane.

Another big problem about Ford, every single part is a 3 month wait. My front bumper got bang, AutoConnexion took 3 months to replace it. they said must order from Singapore.

For 3 whole months they held my car. For 3 months I had to take bus to work. I got no idea why. Singapore is so close to Malaysia. But Ford Malaysia make it seem like it is in Zimbabwe.

Yes, the car is nice to drive and got real Continental feel. As good as Mercedes. But Buyer Beware lah. You will cry in pain when you line up in the bus stand waiting for the Metrobus.

I can't link to it but go to his website and search for Ford. It's the 2nd comment in the story "Ford delivers best-ever Q1 performance in Malaysia"

I see you like to take an exception and cite it as the norm.

I'd cite counter examples, but I'd hate to waste your time googling another example.

Enjoy your Mazda3.

LOL.

If car need to leave more than 2 weekds at SDAC, it is not a spare part issues but it is due to too many cars need to be fixed.

*From a guy who drive fiesta and hit another car and 2 weeks later karma hit his fiesta from back. sweat.gif *

Btw went to SDAC PJ and they suggest me to sent my car to jalan ipoh cos too many car in waiting list. If i insist, i need to wait for 2 months. They even showed me waiting list in the system.

Went to jalan ipoh; 2 weeks only.

David Chan told me the same thing when I sent my car for collision repair at SDAC PJ. I insist to put my car at PJ despite his warnings it will take 2 months.

Guess what, all done in less than 2 weeks. laugh.gif

I wonder where SDAC find the spare parts for me since they dont stock them whistling.gif

Btw, did you get a new bumper?

I'm saying this AGAIN because folk like you will only listen to Facebook and Paulinechan, which I'm most certain that it's clogged by viral news regardless the truth.

Yes it is true that SDAC underperformed.

Yes it is true that someone waited for 2 months for something

Yes it is true that there is some issues regarding Ford's line-up in Malaysia.

BUT, where the truth and where should we draw the line?

IT IS ALSO TRUE that SDAC offers 3yr/60,000km free service for both parts and labours, including wear and tear parts, like rotor, brake pad, battery and even wiper.

IT IS ALSO TRUE that Fiesta is among the best hatch in the world in term of car handling and the fun level of driving it.

IT IS ALSO TRUE that Ford had extended the warranty coverage for the problematic gearbox, and offer 5yr/100,000km warranty for recently sold vehilce.

Again, things that is true, is also the truth? Not necessarily.

Imagine everyone that buy toto, that eventual failed to win anything to get a 5 sec air time on TV, that will be like hundreds of hour worth of sad faces. The same story goes here, everyday we heard people screaming on facebook and paulinechan regarding their vehicle failed to do this, the sc didn't do that so on and so forth.

BUT, where's the happy customers goes? Just because consumer are bit**** where they pay peanut for a car, expects it to fly and also do the house chores, doesn't mean that the car should take the blame.

FYI, Ford sold 14k unit of vehicle in 2014 alone, and by Q1 2015, Ford sold another 5k of vehicle. Yea, there maybe hundreds of people ranting their car in Facebook, and two dozen of more car waiting in the SC for parts, but that's is still like under 3%?

GET OVER IT. laugh.gif

Stop posting in car club threads about cars you know nothing about.

I have claimed plenty of stuffs from SDAC, the longest was the clutchpack where SDAC PJ kept my car for 1 week.

Even accident repair did not take 2 weeks in SDAC.

2 weeks is not normal. Stop broadcasting your ignorance.
*
Depends on how bad your accident is, Mine took 2 months plus close to 3 months for accident repairs.

It's a good deal I suppose.

Reliability is also good, changed a few parts in warranty period.. Now close to 100k KM. Got people sampai 200k++ KM still running like new. icon_idea.gif

I'm not disagreeing SDAC can be very slow, my point is to show that there are also cases when SDAC got things done quickly, and they do stock spare parts.

What happened to your car?

Word is, many clutchpack claims for the past few months has been delayed due to new clutch model coming in.

The same goes for Focus.
