axefx omg so good, i wished i hadnt picked up on several stuff along this two years (new lap top new, desktop, amps effects etc). i agree it cant reproduce clean tones as well as a tube does, but hey if you're gonna stack them effects, i think mesa and marshalls is pretty obselete, again in my humble opinion, cause my ears is somewhat fugtub by handling aircrafts high decibels anyways.
ahh the famous axe fx, always wondered how it is, and always seems odd to me.
well i do agree tho if you are going to stack effects, anything is rather pointless
Though they (Axe FX/Kempers) become the staples of major touring bands and small time giggers, never liked the way to program tones around.. Still prefers turning the knobs around to taste
Haha I kind of like the Kemper looks, reminds me of 80s Sci Fi movies. All them buttons are sure to bring me headaches though.. Russian? Seems like a cool amp.
ya from the 90s. tried one back then in some studio in ampang forgot where already. marshall and fender clones...maybe thats why they eventually died.

have u taken a look at the stephen's extended cutaway from the 80s? quite a few other 80s guitars have had similar comfortable neck joints, most of them in the shredder category...bc rich, hamer... huber is just basically reviving something from 20yrs ago.
While googling on stephen's extended cutaway, I found this:
IIRC, BC Rich also came out with a Invisibolt Technology. Somewhat a set-through neck construction.
