reported by a locall research, bank :1988 crisis, msia reserves was at 21b. now 96b is considered strong. so fundamentally msiaa is good! ( a malay guy at locall research house)

This is a major downturn. I believe nothing is enough if u go against the wind. Almost 100b used up n now USD rate is above RM4.00. Oil is poised to drop further. China is experiencing a slowdown n is now preparing for it as she deliberately devalue the Yuan. Way back in 1998, China help us thru' the crisis by purchasing huge quantities of palm oil.
