Don't hold your breath....if there are English subs ready for the Asian version, surely they'd release the US version now as well, and not in 6 months' time
I also wish that the Asian version has English subs, but then again I'm also wishing Jessica Alba is my girlfriend, and that ain't gonna happen |

I think the US version might be delayed not because of the subs, could be the voice acting. Well, at least I am hoping to be that case
But yeah Suet, wonder if the US version is region locked..then no Blue Dragon for me |

Japanese version
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-br-49-...on-70-1m86.html Asian version http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-dw-77-...on-70-1oht.html No info if the Asian version will have english/chinese subs. Seems stupid to me to sell Asian version without english/chinese subs. |

it possible they will be 2 versions of Asian release. an early pure Jpn release (note the "Japanese Version" on cover's bottom left), and another one when NTSC/UC officially translated.
anyway, ori Asian versions jrpgs have been in full japanese for the past 15 yrs or so haha, i realise a loophole at P-A preorder liao. when u preorder it cheap, P-A will sell to u cheap and not the finalised mark-up price (eg. USD39.90 vs USD49.90) This post has been edited by acougan: Dec 7 2006, 02:27 PM |

QUOTE More Blue Dragon info Blue Dragon is released tomorrow in Japan, and it may be a while before we see it over in Europe and the US, since that's what happens when an RPG is released in Japan first. However, that doesn't mean you can't view some screenshots and get all excited in anticipation for the title, since one shot has some lovely readable writing (i.e.: not Japanese), so the game is well under way for conversion. Plus, it might shift some 360s, if Famitsu have anything to do with it. If you haven't heard anything about Blue Dragon, where have you been? It was recently covered that the game will be released on three DVD discs, harking back to the days of Final Fantasy, which used to come on no less than three discs on the PS1. It was also announced that a special Japanese only bundle would be released at lauch to celebrate Blue Dragon, with a hidden plan of trying to get the Japanese to buy a 360, which they have been reluctant to do thus far, forcing price drops by Microsoft to encourage people into buying. It has also been helped by Famitsu, the magazine everyone reads in Japan, scoring the game a mighty 37 out of 40, one of the highest scores ever from the publication. (In case you're wondering, Famitsu have four different people review the game and score it out of ten, then add the four scores for the final score.) It was officially announced at X06 that the game would be coming to English speaking shores next year, and the picture (below left) indicates that this game is well on it's way as we speak. Whilst it isn't unusual for Japanese developers to throw the occasional English word into a game, to use numbers and HP/MP most certainly is, so it can't be a Japanese shot. ![]() As if that wasn't exciting enough, wait until you read the history of the current developers: Mistwalker consists of ex-members of Square-Enix, the developer whose RPG pedigree includes the long running and critically acclaimed Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest series. The game producer is Hironobu Sakaguchi, creator of the Final Fantasy series, with character design by Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Quest VIII artist Akira Toriyama, while music is being handled by Final Fantasy legend Nobuo Uematsu Pretty exciting stuff. Hopefully the game won't take an age to translate and we see the game before the summer, unlike the Final Fantasy series gone by, which take roughly nine months to translate, and that's only one disc! hehe, actually i think MS is giving their otakus choices:
- if u really impatient & want to experience the game, u can have it now (Asian release with jpn voice +jpn subs) some gameplay impressions indicate this game is not overly difficult. so playing/finishing the game with some gamefaqs help is very possible. - or wait for the translated NTSC/UC version (Eng voice + subs) in a few months time erm, this Asian release is region-locked, and yet demand must be hot!? cos P-A goreng the price to USD49.90 This post has been edited by acougan: Dec 8 2006, 12:40 AM |

Sad to say but the Asian version clearly would not have english subs. Hopefully there will be another Asian version release when the US version release in North America. I'll hold back from buying the X360 now.
