If anyone experience on diving at perhentian/redang which diving company that you signed up yah?

Yea and I think many DCs discourages gloves because people tend to touch things that they are not supposed to touch when they have gloves on 

Tekek. I usually dive with Tioman Reef Divers and stay in Babura (cheap budget place). Im going on Saturday too, just booked today. Now wondering what time should i leave kl.

I have the timing for August. Departure from Tg Gemok is 11.am, return from Tioman is around 2p.m

Except for 29 Aug till 31 Aug, departure from tg gemok is 6a.m/12p.m, return from Tioman around 9a.m/2:30p.m

Which kampung ar? Babura is the cheapest so far. RM108 for aircon room. But the room..... to me i just use for sleeping. haha.

And usually the dive shop arrange the dive package +room for me, so i let them gao dim for me.

The only downside of Tioman is the ferry tickets which are hard to get especially if you decide to go last minute.

I have to get it through somewhere else which cost me slightly more than the usual price. =(

Er just trd. Coz my instructor is good friend to Rino. But so far im really satisfied with their service thats why quite reluctant to try some other dc.

Yes keropok lekor or pisang goreng with teh tarik prepared after every dives. Haha. Their prices are slightly expensive but then I appreciate this small little gestures and of course how the crews help bringing your tanks and bcd up to the boat and down from the boat.

I'm lazy and I love those keropok lekor. Hahaha.

Hi Guys just want to share my experience with Matahari Divers at Perhentian Kecil. For us it was a mixed feeling because we had some good and some bad dives, and it was all down to the DM bringing us down.

For the first 2 days, we were led by this angmoh skinniy girl, can't remember her name. But she was those ' bitchy but nice words' type of person. Clearly very impatient, she gave us like 40 minute dives, compared to the others which were at least 55 minutes. That's a difference of 15 minutes. And we weren't the only ones that commented, other people also said, that was quick to her face but she didn't really care.

Our first dive had some complications due to not enough weght and she just left us! I tried to signal to her below that my girl had problems but they just swam away and 10 mins later resurfaces and she was mad. Saying why we didn't stick with the group. heloo we can't even descend how to to stick with you? And she was super impatient when it came to our buoyancy, when we clearly told her we are newly certified OW with only 5 dives.

The chalet was so so, nothing to shout about, but livable. Just have to adjust a bit with the electricity that turns of in afternoon. Water pressure was really low as well, minor things as we went on budget trip.

The other dives were awesome but as a whole tend to think their divers just want to get it over and done with. 1 was really good, but maybe cos he is young and still energtic.

Yeah we are learning as we go too. Just didn't expect her to be so irresponsible, especially for the 1st dive. The attitude didn't help either.

Apart from that we did love the dives, maybe due to us being newbies, everything was really kind of awesome. Sugarwreck and tokong laut was amazing, and the police wrecks too. But visibility was so so, for me Tioman was better in terms of visibility. Could it be a seasonal thing?  We went to perhentian in August.

Didnt really enjoy t3, am not seing the fun in the swim throughs, some parts were very claustrophobic and a few times i got stuck which was extremely nervewrecking, being a newbie and all. And once I could not find my gf/ buddy, she went into a hole and dissapeared. I think i kena eyes closed by ghost..she really lietrally vanished at the next corner..maybe she swam up?

Will definitely go back to perhentian as the travel there isn't as bad as tioman. Only wish air asia or klia2 could improve their timeliness. both to and fro had delays of 40 mins. Which is kind of irritating because the flight itself is short.

I tried local travelling before. Normal check in no issue. But this is the first time i travelling oversea with that huge dive bag. So i am a bit hesitant.

Coz my airasia ticket comes with 40kgs luggage allowance. Kinda stupid if i have to purposely buy another 20kgs just for "sports equipment".

But thanks for sharing your experience.

Still thinking whether to pay that extra RM150+ (2way) for the sports equipments. =.=

Just to share with you guys if you are traveling with flights in Philippines, regulators are not allowed as hand carry luggage. A lesson learnt which cost me about Rm200..

Was flying last Wednesday with Airasia (zest air) from Terminal 3 NAIA (MNL) back to KUL.. but from KUL to NAIA was no problem with hand carry regulators

I went to Anilao also.. previously flying many times from KUL to MNL, back and forth but it was terminal 4 with no problem.

But I'm just curious if it's actually normal to have some ringing sound in the ear after dive?

Yeap I did.

But the ringing issue still there, but normally will go off after a few days.

btw just curious if there's any cheaper parking place at subang skypark?
