it just majority in manufacturing arm, which will provide know how n improved qa n qc, main parent company P bhd is still G control so it's still a local company.
till now i still take P-one as true national car... other r mere rebadge n money maker... wish all best for P-one, as it under goes a time which other went also, all other manufacturer had it's dark period, n now P-one had it, so hope it recover from ICU... |

Check out the recent issue of the edge in newsstands and currently the gov wants a local partner instead to partner proton and DRB is likely to partner proton, seeing after talks between Volks doesnt looking positive.
For me if this is true this is like having Proton and DRB to bed in hell. Mr Hypermount shall be Miss Hypermount soon i believe This post has been edited by travis_ckf: Mar 17 2007, 05:27 PM |

I really don't care what happens and I think a lot share my sentiment. I came back from BTN, and there 1 big shot in economics/MTEN or something who makes the the laws that make most Malaysians suffer responded to my question on "why the need to protect/so much tax on foreign cars" and the answer is:
Proton/Car industry is an INFANT industry. We need to PROTECT the INFANT industry in order to be competitive. So that is why the double standard to ensure people are going to go for our products. But since he responded like that-another question comes to my mind. 20 years still infant? But since that was in BTN, I knew better to shut up my mouth and just accept everything. This is not entirely Proton's fault but those making the legislations should be more accountable. |
