QUOTE(swks26 @ Jul 10 2015, 11:32 AM) I gotta agree that the food isn't fantastic for what you pay. I feel that it tries to make southern food look slightly more classy but kinda failed. the description in d menu said hash browns n beef brisket. so i imagined 2-3 big pieces of hash browns with beef. d actual dish was fried potato cubes (almost mashed up) with tiny chunks of beef d waiters hardly speak english. but i did like the interior tho n d nice windows that open up at the smoking section. shud be cool lepaking there at night.

Yeah, the automatic open up windows at smoking section is cool. Agree on the waiters communication. Overall, I think Acme South is worth the try once or twice - nothing to shout about. I rather eat some greasy, oily, deep fried food from Chillis.

Station 21. At the food court on top of parking lot behind Bangsar Village. Relatively cheap, the black pepper sauce is very delicious, but the environment is quite hot since it is open air food court. Sizzling style, no rare/medium/well done choice, but the taste is very good. And the cook wear proper hotel-style attire. Worth a try.

QUOTE(jonny4 @ Jul 10 2015, 10:59 AM) Having been to Johnny Rockets, Bubba Gump Shrimp n other Halal or pork free Western restaurants I kinda lost hope in ever finding good food in these kind of establishments. The food is mediocre at best best and when the bill comes u start questioning the decision to spend RM50 on an average tasting meal. imma sorry to say this but im starting judge a western restaurant by the majority ethnicity of the patrons. as much as i dun like doing it, this method seems to work. Any suggestions for good Halal/pork free western restaurants ? friend's bday coming up n we don't want to end up at TGIF or Chillis ever again. Coliseum Restaurant, their oldest restaurant at Jalan TAR, now they have branches at Mid Valley, Jaya33, Sunway Pyramid. http://www.coliseum1921.com/
