He wants "Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes, or if conditional waived" and HLB Wise's AF cannot be waived at all.
*
ah... missed. that.
but Wise is a card that ppl are willing to pay the AF for a reason, therefore still worth mentioned.

MBB Ikhwan offers 5% rebate on friday and saturday for petrol and groceries.. so, no rebate for dining and shopping isnt it?
*
MACH card is the dining card you should get. You can probably try to apply.

Dear all,

Just wondering the PB-Petron Visa Gold is it a good credit card to signup?

It offering some cash rebate on petron petrols, 0.5% on other retails and it's also free for life waived annual fee.

Because I see someone rarely mentions it.

Thanks.
*
If you can control your petrol on Friday/Saturday, then you can consider MBB Ikhwan Mastercard, it gives you 5% cashback and groceries shopping on these 2 days.

1. Annual Income: RM36K to RM60K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Must

3. Card required for: Listed below

4. Existing credit cards if any: None. Applying for my first card.

I plan to spend within my income and will pay on time. My most frequently spent categories are petrol, food, personal health products (toothpaste, shampoo etc), sometimes movies and clothes.

So far reading this thread, I found the Maybank Islamic MasterCard Ikhwan Gold Card to be suitable for me, especially with the convenient auto topup Touch N Go card linked to it and no annual fee. Is there any other card that I should know similar to this before proceeding?
*
can also consider MACH card from HongLeong subsidiary, but there is a clause for 12x spending to auto waive the annual fee. Good for movies, trendy shoppings and dining.

Statement balance is what you ought to pay in order to avoid interest.

Outstanding balance is the total credit usage as of the system update.

1. AmBank CARz
2. Hong Leong Essential, GSC, Mach, Wise
3. HSBC Amanah
4. Maybank 2 Gold Card
5. UOB One, Vox
6. Standard Chartered Business Gold

I need one more card to get cash rebate for every retail spending. Apart from HLB Essential, OCBC Great Eastern, which else offers that?

I already applied for PETRONAS Maybank Visa, and just realize most of the ppl recommend Ikhwan. I'm up for any suggestion so i can cancel the first application.

1.Annual Income: RM36K to RM60K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes please

3. Card required for: Petrol (Pump pretty much anywhere) , grocery, online shopping (if possible)

4. Existing credit cards if any: Nil

5. Looking at CC from: Maybank. Can consider others.

6. Others: Point and cashback is nice, but for now just trying to create credit report.

Edit: I dont see any diffrence between ikhwan and petronas maybank? Sifus please shed some light.
*
For a start, Ikhwan gives cashback for groceries.

You can also consider Aeon Big credit card.

For uob Vox if swipe every month they will auto deduct annual fee or need to call?

Comb cr card applicable for all transaction or only certain like petrol and grocery? Even overseas spend?
*
For VOX, there won't be a monthly charge if you used it at least once of any amount. Therefore, no need to call for waiver whatsoever.

For CIMB CR, please read up for more info here at https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3988506

Hi All,

Recommendations pls:

1. Annual Income: >RM100K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A must.

3. Card required for: Lifestyle card. Retail and Online transactions. Petrol swiping is minimal however.

4. Existing credit cards if any: Vanilla Staff VS Credit Card

5. Looking at CC from: Is the CIMB Preferred VI a good card? I require a balanced card with active retail promotions and premier lounge access. My existing cc is a staff card with unexciting features.

6. Others: Cash back is a definite plus but I don't mind points system either.

Thanks......

PBB Visa Signature.

For unlimited Plaza Premium Lounge access, you may also consider AmBank WMC, infinite card that comes with no annual fee.

1. Annual Income: RM80K.

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferable.

3. Card required for: Cashback (must)
Mainly used for general expenditure like insurance, condo maintenance, kids daycare..

4. Existing credit cards if any: Maybank 2 cards, Pbb &  Maybank visa signature, cimb cash rebate Mastercard, Alliance younique

5. Looking at CC from: Any

6. Others: Looking to maximize my cashback for general spending since the alliance younique rebate is approaching max every month and I foresee more general expenses coming in the near future. My other cards already give me cashback on petrol, groceries, utility and telcos bills etc. Need this recommendation for spending on the other categories since no more OCBC titanium unlimited 1% cashback.

Thanks.
*
if you don't mind a bit of hassle, but will get you 3% on general spending, please consider UOB VOX also to complement your CIMB CR. Then also get AEON credit card. Spend with AEON card, use POSOnline to pay your AEON card with UOB BOX/CIMB CR which gives you 5%, while POSOnline will charge you 2%. But with the above combination, you will be limited to RM1600 (1k from VOX, 600 from CIMB CR) spending for maximum cashback from the 2 cards.

I also just found out that I can link a non-Maybank credit card to Maybank2u.com. I want to link the AEON Big visa card, pay all my monthly bills with it, then use Pos Online to pay the AEON card.

*
linking 'other banks' card to m2u can, but your payees will be restricted to a small list. you can check M2u for more info.

This recommendation very suitable for me as well. What's your recommendation for the following?

1. Annual Income: RM500k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: If available

3. Card required for:Petrol RM500, dining RM1000-RM2,000, grocery RM500, utility RM500, insurance RM6000, travel depend.

4. Existing credit cards if any: WISE, OCBC

5. Looking at CC from: best cash back, don't really like point as I always accidentally ignored it.

6. Others: I can accept more than 1 card recommendation for different category. Previously I'm using WISE for dining, phone and petrol while OCBC for all the others. But since both cards are cutting the T&C, what's your recommendation for me?

For Grocery:

For Dining:
