Good day ladies & gentlemen,

Any advice to optimize cash backs & cards offering 0% balance transfer?

My data for consideration of the above:
1. Annual Income: paiseh to share exact, just enough to get Visa Signature / Visa Infinite / etc. but cut-up/rejected i hardly use those facilities

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes please - even if not auto waive, call to waive like Citi is ok

3. Cards required for:
Major monthly expenses, in sequence of high-to-low total average monthly, charged to cards are:
a. Tesco & Giant groceries
b. Online shopping (mainly Tesco again)
c. Insurances
d. Mobile telecommunication bills
e. Utilities - TNB, TM/UNIFI, IWK, etc
f. Petrol

4. Existing credit cards if any:
a. MBB DuaCard: Amex + Visa - mainly earlier for the weekend cash back, now zzz

b. Citi Cashback - 2% groceries + mobile telcos EXCEPT Celcom (Citi killed cash back for Celcom payments a few months back)

c. PB Visa Signature - online spending 6%, groceries (miserably up to total RM60 cash back only)

d. CIMB Cashback - online spending 5% (miserably up to RM30 cash back only) + groceries 2%

5. Looking at CC from:
anything to optimize
a. insurance cash back (not the miserable 0.2%) or point to vouchers equivalent %
b. often offered 0% and >=12 months (lazy to track 3-6 months) balance transfers

6. Others:
no CCRIS issues + consistent / good repayer, thus getting a card isn't an issue.
just unsure what's good out there WITHOUT severe parameters like HLB's Wise or something - crazy, track how many transactions & must be more than $xx...
urgh
simplify + long term smile.gif
*
one more card for you: MBB VS. AF auto waived with RM50K per annum.

Utilities can pay with YOLO?

YOLO is relatively new. But it's believed that the same benefits should mimic VOX.
Since it's new, there is no evident to prove that just , yet.

Head on to UOB thread for updated info from members.

any cc got cb from insurance?

Direct way:

HLB Fortune Card if can spend RM2000/month

Indirect Way:

AEON/AEON Big card to pay , then use online rebate cards (YOLO, CIMB Cash Rebate, PBB Visa Signature) to pay thru POSOnline (pay 2.12% fee to contra with 5/6% cashback from the credit card used to pay).

Exclusive way:

If AIA insurance, apply PBB AIA card for 2% rebate (I think).

Most, if not all of the car insurance providers, are already providing free car towing service.

I don't think there is a credit card that provide such, at least not to my knowledge.

Annual income 35000.
Doing uber now, rly need a cc for petrol
*
Do you have other cards?
If yes, you might want to consider reducing their credit limits and reapply this card again.
If no, you probably want to consider other cards like,

- Aeon Big card
- CIMB Petronas

Can we use Essential card to pay PTPTN at PTPTN office and still get cashback ?
ANyone can confirm this. Thanks.

I actually think you should check your CCRIS record from Bank Negara. You'll have better idea what is being assessed to determine your approval for credit card applications.
