yup, this design culprit make one feel cramped inside this used to be roomy mall
*
exactly.. just feel not comfortable at all when walking inside this mall.

can see how people comment for this mall.. doh.gif

""Two years reno yet it looks likee 60s kl tall building within. Cramp, lost, inconvenience, and stuffy with 'modern' design. A few big names players, yet I believe this mall will be as dead as old one ""

basically tenants line up are determined by mall operator

sunway don want run cheap style mall, wanna high class

u can still see the IT & phone section still empty, only 1 -3 tenants there even they put up leasing ad at nearing area, even at UTC sentul .  sooner or later the phone shops will closed too, where got biz to support the rental?
*
that area can't handle a high class mall, not even for another 10 years to go.. A mid-scale mall would be more suitable

Even pavilion bb have KFC & pizza hut although they are positioned as a high class mall..

The IT section at putra is waiting to die, the shops at there are dead for each time I passed by the place.. same goes to vanity hall section and dark Asian avenue section.. doh.gif doh.gif

I live near that mall. The most popular place before renovation was the cheap food court at highest floor lol. Now they change to so atas no one have the buying power to go there. I still want to try red lobster before they chap lap though, never have it before.

yeah.. they changed to "more atas" mall which I think it's not suitable for this area though.. red lobster at here is quiet & dying though, at least the other red lobster outlet at quill have crowd dining at there..

the rental at here is very expensive because of sunwai-operated mall~ heard from an insider that tenants have "plans" to move out due to extremely poor biz, even some of them didn't pay rental for months.. doh.gif

nevertheless, if u got sth always out of stock at your frequent visit mr.diy branch, u may drop by this sunway's mr.diy, probably can find the thing u want (as less crowd mah....) ~ juz don know which day it close down tongue.gif

the daiso then no-no, too small too little stock (expensive rental, rent small space) ~ the aeonbig wangsa maju one is better

popular bookshop also manage to rent a smaller space only at this 'so atas' mall

yeah, less crowded mall usually have plenty of stocks.. brows.gif

I agree that daiso putra is too small & stuffy as well as the pathway is narrow and limited products range as well.. even the nearby daiso quill have more product range and more organized than this outlet..

As I said earlier, the rental at putra is DAMN expensive so that's why they are able to rent a small space.. many of them (even those big fashion brands) are suffering losses from its opening till now doh.gif

you are back.. haha!

well, basically the mall is still surviving but many of the tenants still suffer from poor biz.. heard that many of them will not renew the contract once its expires.. some of them "may" move out earlier if situation still didn't improve.. and of the course the escalators still spoiled as always (already 1 year)

digital centre's shops at putra mall is getting lesser and it become a ghost place just like ghost avenue.. shakehead.gif

F&B are doing OK except for a few of them icon_rolleyes.gif

improved?? hmm.gif hmm.gif

btw.. saw people comment for TGV cinema @ putra mall: ohmy.gif

The TGV cinema sold us expensive tickets to see a 3d film and then showed us a 2d film. Refused to apologise for the error and refused any kind of refund or compensation. The Sunway Putra Mall and TGV manager refused to speak to any of us directly. We remained ultra polite and dignified but will not use this establishment again. There is a much better cinema complex in Times Square. Shame on you TGV Cinemas.

this kinda shopping mall is very suitable for some Jackie Chan action movie scenes... I hope Jackie Chan can consider this venue for the next Police Story movie...
