If u dun mind u can lower your budget & stay at those Mat Salleh approved budget hotels such as Twin Peak, Cameron Inn, Gathers guest house & etc...Those <RM150/nite. & some <RM100

23 ppl inside an apartment..wow...where are they gonna sleep? And how many rooms are they? Long-long time ago, I booked Kayangan Apt at Genting 3 rooms, and wth ~4 of us, atleast 5 of us hv to sleep on the floor padded wth all the sofa cushion available...the worst is not enuf blankets..coldddddd....

Good luck if 23....better bring xtra blankets & pillow + probably reserve the balcony too..

My last stay there ~4 yrs ago. Not bad, spacious, quiet but abit old already.

Althought it's just at the back of Convent Tanah rata but the entrance is from the back...not far but will be a distance walking down to Tanah Rata Town ctr.

Nice food all has been discussed..Inj Tanah Rata..Steamboats there are 3 equally good stemboats i.e Mayflower, nyonya Fern (Side by side rival -same row as maybank Tanah Rata) & Hong kong retaurant same row as Hong Kong Bank

For authentic scorn (The cheapest in CH at RM2.50 each) goto T-cafe on top of Mary Brown (By now should be My Lord Cafe)..Closed on Sunday hor.

4 yrs ago, I bought from one of their vacation club's member selling their entitlement for Rm110/nite nia..try looking at LYN garage sales, mudah or lelong...lotsa their vacation club member selling their entitlements..good bargai there,.

So far I can't see any bicycle for rent in CH. but lotsa folks cycle using their own bike..some from Tapah to Tanah rata !!

That CHR is not for the kapcai owner wan...Currently the most expensive resort in CH!! However they have cheaper room too at RM250++/nite.

Twin pine is not far-lah...I even walk from their sister KRS which is deep inside Mentigi road to tanah rata..Twin Pine is about 200M from main road nia...The sister KRS inn much cleaner & quieter

KRS is just a guesthouse..clean, small, wth attached bathroom but no TV inside room..U need to go to the common lobby for Astro..So it will not be really a romanctic location although quiet...Dun choose room facing the hill- Those indian & orang asli kids stayting nearby super noisy in the Evening..

Walking disatnce is 4.5km. If u walk 4.5km/hr..probably 1 hr to reach

I thought I hv posted images of hotels in Tanah rata much earlier...NVM, posting this again for those really dunno where is the locations of those Tanah Rata hotels.

Century Pines & heritage are probably 3-4 star rated hotels. Thus prices >RM150/nite 7 during weekend ~RM200-RM250/nite. i stayed at both hotels b4. spacious & clean Heritage abit old. but wth tudor design & Centuiry pine too modern liao..BTW, for quiet choose those furthest from the main road (In yellow)....Check those guesthouse like KRS, Jurina Inn & etc which is far from main road...Those are quiet hotels & yet within walking distance from Tanah Rata

Most of Tanah Rata wan I think still there..Kavy probably moved to Brinchang liao bcos I saw Kavy at Brinchang during my last visit...U think that colourful topo of banjaran titiwangsa slow-down the mapsos kah..hmnnn now dunno how to un-install that..let me check...

@Capiche..No idea of car rental in CH...but someone mentioned earlier certain guesthouse do provide bicycle for rental..and you probably can join one of the few agents..offering full day tour of diff itineraries at Tanah Rata..pick-up from your hotel..I have posted one of them fe pages b4 this..do check. I did the Gua Musang Lojing Rafflesia tour wth them...~RM88/pax full day..worth the money spent! Once in lifetime enetering the jungle & experience REAL 4WD stucked in the super thick mud!

Walking distance ~800m from the town ctr..Although just beside the main road but it's on higher ground & no road directly to the main road..1 big round.

try those in Tanah Rata cheaper motels & Inn..~RM60-RM150 only

Not sure depending leh..Those like Century pine & heritage, try book from those time sharing or even agent..cheaper rather than direct booking! & those are the one difficult to negotiate! Those smaller wan such as twin Peak/ KRS & cameron Inn u can negotiate kaw-kaw during off-peak..During peak & weekend difficult also...I suggest you try KRS..Off peak ~RM60 or RM70 & durig peak RM80-RM90.

Cleaner than Heritage! but super basic. smaller room & super clean attached toilet wth hot shower. But that's in Dec 2007 hor..
