Not really all rounder.....
Try playing All Along The Watchtower on a Les Paul...... that ain't right. To ME.... the best all-rounder would be the Ibanez S series.... they are really impressive when it comes to versatility..... Yes.... The Ibanez...... If you want Blues, Rock (Classic....), Metal or anything that has a nice low-end.... the Les Paul is the way to go. If you want something more sharp, a Strat or a Super strat is the way. But of course.... rules are meant to be broken... so just ignore whatever this bumbling idiot (ie: me.) has to say |

I started off with Green Day 3-chord songs on my crap-strat......
I STILL play Green Day 3-chord songs on my Jackson. I would recommend that you try out Yamaha Pacifica guitars and see if you like the tone...... I Highly recommend them at the moment. |

Yes.. but only recently he switched.
All the "classic" Green Day were done on a Fernandes Strat copy with a Seymour Duncan humbucker. |

My holy Grail would be a mint condition Gibson Moderne.....
And then I'll gut it, whack in EMGs and a Floyd Rose..... I can hear the Gibson collector's hearts breaking collectively now! |

Ironically.... the second song I learned was Now & Forever also....
And the only way to get better is by practicing, practicing, practicing. There really are no substitute. Dedicate an hour a day just to practicing guitar...... not jamming on your guitar..... but seriously practicing. Also, there are alot of topics on Budget guitars in this forum. We were having a discussion about RM1500 guitar and amp combo. So far, the verdict has been an SX Strat with a Microcube combo. Don't ask questions. Just search the pages...... And welcome all you new comers to the loudest thread on the LYN forums! |

Guess What guys....
I'm in audio design class and my first assignment is to record 4 different type of audio source. a) Human Voice b) Musical Instrument hmmmm.... wonder what to record....) c) Ambient Noises d) Foley sounds (ie: sound effects) a, b and d shouldn't be a problem, what with my new line 6 UX2 which I'm buying today (glee!) But ambient noises... any tips on buying a good microphone? I have the regular senheiser and Bmg mics, But might want to get a condenser and a directional mike... see how much budget left today.... |

Was thinking of buying a set of monitor speakers... until I Saw the price. then I died.
I then rose from my shallow grave and decided to buy a set of 2.0 Edifier speakers for rough output, then use my infinity speakers for playback. |

I bought a Technics RP-F550 Monitor Headphones.... should be decent enough lah....
Like I said, will see if I have enough left over for a new mike..... but will definitely will need a new pair of speakers.... My old old old Altec Lansing won't cut it... Even the Edifier sounds better! Was thinking of the Sonic Blue 2.0 with tube.... then I heard the speakers with my own ears..... urgh.... Can't be justified at all..... and for RM299!! Going with Edifiers! Will be leaving for CK Music now.... And yes. Will take pics AND post sound samples! |

Actually, after the Wes Borland clinic, I'm dragging my ZW Les Paul there because of my Guitar Lesson....
So I'll try out some Laney amps and see if they are any good.... |
