Duh.... it's not meant to be played that way.
You have to place it resting on your thigh, and you hold it upward.....
Or you play it standing up......

Cool. Are we talking about the dinky little plastic ones, or the real metal ones?

Yeah. I knew that already. saw it in a NAMM Expo picture.
Funny story. Zakk originally wanted it to look more like the opening sequence of Vertigo.... you know.... NOT uniformed circles swirling..... But the artist screwed up and what you see was the final product. Zakk liked it quite alot and decided to keep it. And the whole REASON of adding the bullseye? So he doesn't look like Randy Rhodes! He already had the long blond hair.... And another thing...... quite off the guitar topic..... but don't know if you can help....... Anywhere I can find *gulp*.... Hello Kitty drumsticks? A friend of mine was looking for them..... Or perhaps anywhere I can "wrap" regular drumsticks?? |

Out of curiosity, how much is he willing to let it go for?
But I hope and hope and hope that they bring in the new Epiphone Tube Amplifiers.... like the small bullet or the big a$$ full stack one..... Of course, my prayers will NEVER be answered. Anyways, for hardcases..... I'm the worst for advice. I spent 500 bucks for a Coffin Case..... and going to waste another 500+ because of the RR3. |

Well, the RR3 comes with a gig bag...... but you know me and coffin cases..... it's kind of my icon already...
Remember the first time we went for the Gary Hoey clinic? You could instantly tell it was me.... BLS T-Shirt... Dripping Wet.... and dragging the big a$$ coffin case........ Would love to get one for an Acoustic too. |

Yeah... that's the problem with odd-shaped guitars....... have to go out of your way to find one that fits.

Well, there ARE cases for V's, but the Coffin Case are just sooooo cool!
But yeah, bass cases CAN fit Warlocks...... but not the V's. I checked. The warlock are large at Both ends.... like a bass, but the V is only long at the bottom end, so it will "swim" in the case for abit. Not sure about Explorers though. |

Wow. Looks like Marshall is making a comeback...... first the Vintage Modern and now THIS??? A'Freakin'Mazin'
Well, hopefully I can get a CeriaTone JCM800 with 6550 Power Tubes Head next year.... sounds like a good deal...... Any suggestions for a reasonably priced cab? Will be thinking something along the lines of a Marshall 1960 cab. |

Mwahahahaha...... It's a damn fun guitar to play. Getting used to a whole new style of guitar. The V angles are so different, My palm muting rests a bit weird, getting used to the strap (it locks from the back of the guitar), Trying to get the hang of the wider frets and realizing that the Floyd Rose is a F'ing pain in the A$$!!!
I seriously need some help to tune it up or god forbid..... change strings..... Next gathering baby!!!!!!!! This post has been edited by blacktrix: Nov 22 2006, 10:01 PM |

Thanks for the tips. Will have to read 'em when I'm NOT heavily medicated.
Yeah, I saw Sam Totman's V...... but like Metalzone said, the final uses a fixed bridge..... However, I'm still excited to see Zakk's new V guitars...... The V with the bullseye (and a Floyd Rose), and the b*****d child of the V and SG guitar..... But I AM enjoying pulling off those dive-bombs on the FR..... now to get a Digitech Whammy to complete the sound! |

I wasn't looking for another Les Paul.... I wanted something that was utterly different from my Les Pauls. If I wanted a Les Paul with a floyd, I'd get the grassroots one in Guitar Collection already.
I wanted either a V or and explorer. I've heard some good reviews of the RR3, so I just went for it. Besides....... It's Randy Rhode's guitar man!!! Like you said, the Pickups and thin and bright..... very different from my Les Pauls. Don't worry...... won't be swapping in EMGs. If I WOULD to swap.... I'd swap in DiMarzio Evolutions..... Now after a new coffin case for it...... ooooooh. will have to call 'em today. |
