QUOTE(tan_pang @ Sep 3 2008, 10:30 AM) Participate the next one?? thanks for the intro of these music, will find them after my exam ^^at that time, how old are you?? If I'm not mistaken, there is also a piano competition by Roland Asia Pacific... You can try that http://www.rolandap.com/main.php?pg=eventsd&events_id=1 I also listen to concerto now... seldom listen to symphony... Now start to like Bach's Harpsichord Concerto I found the Glenn Gloud version, but he play on piano... You can try Grieg, Khachaturian, Tchaikovsky (1st), Rachmaninoff (2nd & 3rd), Beethoven (Emperor), Ravel's Piano Concerto Other than that, can also try Bruch (1st), Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky, Khachaturian, Sibelius, Brahms's Violin Concerto i will be 21 for the next asean international chopin competition, there is no age limit so i guess i can give a try ya i heard of the roland piano competition, i am not planning to participate any competition yet until next year when i further my study at kl. live at penang not convenient for any major event le QUOTE(fujkenasai @ Sep 3 2008, 02:29 PM) How do you gain entrance to that asean international chopin piano competition? Can you give me more details on it like where and when it is held? ya its free admission, btw is there sufficient seat for the audience if there are too many ppl wacthing the competition? i wouldn't wan to miss it, i am skipping my class for this.I guess if you like piano you should go for lang lang's performance next season in MPO since its all sold out now. Well you can still try for any cancellations. BTW do you guys consider nobuo uematsu's(final fantasy 1-10 music composer) pieces as classical music? I guess this question include current day movie composition like John Williams and howard shore's pieces. lang lang concert ticket is sold out??!! QUOTE(tan_pang @ Sep 4 2008, 01:44 PM) I think what you mean is Contemporary Classical...... ya it would not be easy, hope to learn a thing or two from those participants ^^Sometimes it confuse me too...... If you will be 21 for next ASEAN International Chopin Competition, then you have to participate the highest rank... that is above 21 category... like Concerto "C" or College I also wondering will there enough seat for audience...... Ya, Lang Lang's concert ticket is sold out on first day it start to sell to non-subscriber (25 Aug)... My friend got the last ticket at Circle, and this is the first times he queue up to buy the ticket... dono if anyone have already listen tis b4, its one of my favourite piano concerto from beethoven, soloist is the famous pianist zimerman its very nice, here's the 1st movement http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfstcHZINYE ps: i dont have much collections of classical music, mostly listen on youtube : This post has been edited by fiRst Empire: Sep 4 2008, 03:01 PM |

QUOTE(fujkenasai @ Sep 5 2008, 01:59 AM) No I could not get the tickets was 4 days late. i see, pg there not much interesting events oso. no choice listen mp3 only lo ^^ long time didnt attend any concert d lo. anyway thanks guys Is that blog you sent me from your friend? 1st time for me to know that they have to queue for a ticket in MPO I hope I do get a seat for the Asean competition. one think for classical music Im very choosy I do not get MP3 as I find there is something missing in the quality thats why I always look for concerts to go to, for pop and others mp3 is fine. Ive got some if you want it but I just leeched it when I was in college and I only listen to 1 or 2 of it when I really feel like it. |
