I listen to mostly Baroque. I just don't know why.

J.S.Bach: Goldberg Variations, French Suites, Violin Partitas, Lute Suites, Cello Suites (I like these ones!), Brandenburg Concertos, and others.

Mozart: Uh... the 12 Variations? The K545 sonata.

Chopin: The funny Waltz in D-flat-major. Couldn't get it off my head once I listened to it.

Scarlatti: All, but really like the K159 - the song appears in a kids' quiz show.

Vivaldi: The Mandolin Suites, the Four Seasons.

Johann Pachelbel: The Canon in D and Gigue, and also one of the lute suites.

I have only Goldberg Variations 1~10. Will buy the full Glenn Gould's edition. His playing of the Goldberg is very nice. biggrin.gif

Cello Suites? 1007 (Prelude, Courante, Minuets I and II), 1009 (Prelude, Bourees I and II), 1010 (Seldom listen to it because I don't have a recording, so listen to the samples only), 1011 (It's the lute suites BWV 995 too) and 1012 (Sarabande, Gavottes I & II). I listened mostly the Goran Sollscher ones and the Segovia ones.

I also played a lot of Cello Suites on the guitar. The violin ones are very difficult, and I could only play Gavotte BWV1006(a) - (That tune from the Allan D' Louis pen advertisment). The easiest one is Sarabande and Double BWV1002 - any 5th graders can do it. biggrin.gif

And Handel's Sarabande too. Maksim has a remix version of this, very interesting. biggrin.gif

You have totally forgotten Domenico Scarlatti's works there.

They sound pretty brilliant, on the harpsichord and on the guitar as well! biggrin.gif

Also, Vivaldi's has a number of concertos composed for the Mandolin and the Lute. They are great too, check them out! biggrin.gif
