I'm really excited about the concert next week by London Symphony Orchestra with Daniel Harding as the conductor. Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto and Mahler's Symphony No. 10!
Is anyone here into Opera?

QUOTE(tan_pang @ Nov 14 2009, 03:55 AM) Oh... is the piano played by Behzod Abduraimov with Sydney Symphony Orchestra and conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy?? I guess those audience feel impressed by his skill, and forgot that the 2nd and 3rd movement haven't start... I only go and listen to the Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3, and he really blast me away... I can see that he play until the whole piano shaking... Hmm... I don't know about that concert... Where it held at? It's in Barbican, London.

People interested in Beethoven should try and get their hands on this collection recorded by LSO. http://lso.co.uk/detailedrecordinginfo&sho...ing&detailID=67Simply brilliant! Added on January 13, 2010, 2:30 amQUOTE(greishlee @ Jan 6 2010, 10:20 AM) Thanks for posting some videos! i love classical music. my teacher said that classical has a beneficial effect to the brain. here is my top 5 favorite classical music 1. beethoven - fur elise 2. Mass In B Minor – Johann Sebastian Bach 3. Requiem – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart 4. Firebird Suite – Igor Stravinsky 5. Don Quixote – Richard Strauss Be careful not to be misled by that. Research suggested that listening to classical music would help boost your mind, but only for about 10 minutes after you listened to it. This post has been edited by Geminist: Jan 13 2010, 02:30 AM
