Yeah, I just went to the orchestra yesterday. I like the piano performance part. What about you?
*
Yeah I went too I guess we could meet up next time for the next concert, I always try to attend them when ever Im in KL or if there are pieces that I like I'll try to make the trip since Im not from KL.

Oh I went on Saturday night the piano part ok la but it the piano sound like covered by the orchestra when Sergio Tiempo was playing..I prefer Rachmaninoff's Symphony more hehe...

21 march is it the Beethoven Piano Concerto...I might be going with my friend ^^ flex.gif
*
Actually for me I like all of the pieces, that were performed.
Btw is it just me or is the piano really out of tune? I think especially when he played the high notes its abit out.

I think I might have to go on the 22nd of march since there was goin to be a dinner that night for me. sad.gif
So I think I might not be able to see you all. sad.gif

I went there on Saturday night icon_rolleyes.gif

I think Sergio Tiempo have made many mistake in the beginning as there are many things doesn't sounds right...
Then toward the middle and the end still ok to me...

I don't know what is the encore music, but heard from my friend said it is different with the Sunday's encore music.
Even though it is good to have encore, but I think the last note/chord...... sweat.gif ...... again...

The Rachmaninoff's Symphony is very nice...
But I prefer they play faster in 2nd movement...
And also hope the sound of flute (or maybe it is clarinet??) can be louder a bit...

you really mean where??

It is always at the same place... tongue.gif
By the way, I haven't buy the ticket......
*
Yeah I think some of the cords do not sound right I wonder if we can ask to make sure, especially for those who paid for executive seats. rolleyes.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

He means that he went to DPM last time because his friends went and since he does not want to be a loner he thinks that DPM has lost its "social value"

What made me angry is our self-claim "First Lady of Malaysia" claim that Tengku Irfan is the first Malaysian to admitted to Juilliard... vmad.gif
That statement made me feel like I'm not a Malaysian...
She not only misleading the public, but also over-promoting him. I just hope he still can learn, never be arrogant, and be a more mature pianist and composer in future...

Anyway, I personally think that Claus Peter Flor is not a good conductor.
My reason is very personal: His interpretation is not what I like...
And now with all these news... I really think he is not suitable to be the person that lead the orchestra...

My friend went to the Emperor Concerto concert on Sunday, and he said the Emperor Concerto is a very bad performance. With some obvious mistake in timpani and piano.
I like Paul Philbert very much. I believe he have perform Emperor Concerto many times as timpanist and won't make mistake easily...
After heard of these news, I can understand why he can make mistake. And if I'm him, I will turn the cadenza to timpani solo!!

all of this is beyond our control our other option is only down south to kiasu land in the region. sad.gif
