Hi,
Currently using 195/50/16 tyres on my SSS. Seems like this size not much in market and my tyre guy asked me to go for 185/55/16.
Any comments?

hey guys, my SSS is coming to 5 years in January with very low mileage, so just wanted to know what are upcoming major expenditures I should be expecting besides the regular service. Car is currently stock with zero mods. So far only changed 1) Tyres 2) Android Auto Car currently comes with HID standard. According to this, we need to refer to JPJ? https://www.thestar.com.my/metro/metro-news...move-hid-lamps/This post has been edited by thirumaran: Dec 16 2018, 09:55 AM

QUOTE(AricAow89 @ Feb 13 2019, 08:37 PM) Hi, need some advise from all sifu here. My Swift 1.4 is going to 5 years old this August and recently got to know from Aiman Motor that absorber for both front and back are broken. I would like to know Suzuki Swift's absorber normally can last for how long? There are some comments that absorber can last very long(>8 years) and won't spoil so easily. But there are also some comments that the lifespan for absorber is around 5years. SC told me that they will have to change the whole set of absorber including mounting where quoted 3k plus for both front and back. Is that necessarily to change the whole set if mounting still usable? Driving pattern is normal driving in Cheras area most of the time and always under mileage. Can share your experience, brand and price for the absorber that you all currently using? Thank you Question: Did you realize smthing was wrong while driving (i.e. driving over humps) or the Service Center told you?

QUOTE(Shafico @ Mar 11 2019, 01:17 AM) Hye guys..ive been having this ringing/metal brushing sound in the engine bay(maybe more on the driver side) when i accelerate uphill..and it always happen when the car speed 50-70kmph..and seems louder when its hot outside like in the afternoon..can someone shed a light on this problem..cause already gone to a few pomen..most of them all suggest overhaul..oh and one more problem..what can cause a car to accelerate even after you already step off the pedal..it happened when i was on a long drive balik kampung last month.. I had the ringing/metal brushing sound when accelerating for about a year, initially though it was engine pinging sound, but later SC said something was loose. They told me they tightened everything they could in the engine bay, and the noise went away The second issue sounds serious ...

QUOTE(ericmaxman @ Apr 8 2019, 06:50 AM) From what I noticed, if you got a voltage stabilizer, it can help stretch your battery life a bit longer. Any brand recommendation / where to buy? I had one I bought from Brothers long time ago for my old Wira (RM75), think I want to get a better one.

SSS 1.6 Auto. I changed my coolant 3 mths ago for major service, yesterday it dropped to quarter tank.
So took it to service center, they removed everything and topped it up for me. No leaks. Any reason why this happened?

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Jul 8 2019, 04:54 PM) I was told by my Suzuki specialist that it's common/normal actually for this car coz the location is hot and blown directly by the fan and the water evaporates faster. So just need to top it up. Mine also like that. did you top up with distilled water or you bought a spare coolant bottle?

Hi,
My 2013 SSS absorber bump stops and dust cover already disintegrated (rear tyres), but no noticeable noise, or issues when going over bumps.
Have taken the car to one shop near my hse (but not my regular service center in shah alam) and he said he cannot just replace those 2 parts.
Any swifters here with similar experience? My car is 6 yrs old, low mileage and have not changed the absorbers yet.
