Sure. Im ok as long it's a proper brand from big market. But...im here at Kuantan, no Aeon nor Suzuki stockist. So my option is buy from any showroom.

It doesn't matter right even it's different color(ing)?
*
Better stay with the same color to ensure compatibility coz it may indicate different base material used in it. If not, then try to find Prestone coz that one can mix with anything.

so long have not open lolyat 😁
2020 just got a good deal with 2009 SSS
been eyeing this car since at uni but poor as fuck cant even own a mountain bike

now i reach /k gaji level edi 20K/m
buy car also cash, so my question is
car meter show 136000km
need to do major service or overhaul leh?
i drive the car seems ok
*
Depends on condition, what parts have been replaced before. At this mileage also pay close attention to the clutch if you want manual one. If already getting pretty notchy, then sign of needing clutch overhaul which can cost up to 2k.

yup it's a manual one..
i drive yesterday seems to be ok..
other than clutch?
the engine seems quiet..
don't have any rattling sound..

just dat im worried the mileage..
is it normal 10 years old car with dat mileage?
*
I bought manual 2008 in 2018 at 118k mileage. Mostly the issues are:
- suspension and undercarriage noises from stabilizer bushes, stabilizer links, caliper pins, lower arm, absorbers and top mounts, engine mounts. I changed all those on mine
- minor oil leaks from cam cover and oil filter adapter
- worn out v-belts
- then just last week at 150k km did clutch overhaul coz already too notchy until difficult to go into 1st and reverse gear. (But note this car was bought for my son to learn driving so clutch was heavily worn because of that).

Shall i worry mine since it's on 178k km... No trouble seriously.

Replaced mountings and noticeable thing is rpm is now not consistently at 800. Around 750 to 850 like that and get my mech to have a look during next oil change. My mech stop me from overhaul engine since no problem. Lol
*
Maybe just try some carbon cleaning first just before next oil change.

Will do. 👍
By the way carbon build up will cause higher petrol usage?
Where you at? If in KL you still can drive around. Im at Kuantan now occasionally still drive at night and be home before 10pm.
*
Yes it will.

Its quite common for zc82. And i do have face same problem. Last month i decided to upgrade for a adjustable coilovers, and did the corner weight balancing. Best decision ever. improve a lot on your handling. worth the money
*
Where did you dio corner balancing and how much? Was it Kegani Racing?

Hi sifus, am not well versed with car, so wanted to check with you all.

Driving a Swift 2015, 1.4 A. Am adviced to change the absorber. Also it'll be the first change since I got the car 5yrs ago.

Any recommendations on brands? Not particular about the absorber specs. Just using the car for daily commute

Am located in PJ. Thank you sifus.

Use Kayaba Excel-G Japan. Can get at Fineworks Garage Enterprise in Subang.

Greetings to all Swift owners

I am a newbie and I would like to ask some questions.

I recently bought a 2nd hand Suzuki Swift 2008 1.5GLX ZC21. 100% stocks. The mileage is only 40,000KM. The previous owner just kept it in the garage. Everything is working fine and still tight like new car. Smooth engine and transmission. 2016 Yoko AE01 tyres but the thread still 95%. Tyres all pumped up to 240Kpa as per the recommendation. No engine warning light, no bad exhaust smell. I've given a full 40K major service with Shell Helix Ultra 5W/40, changed the air filter to original K&N.

I've been reading the spec for this model and all stated the AVG fuel economy (FE) at least 14-16 KM/L combine. However, my own FE is very poor. The car mostly used for ferrying kids to school nearby, up to 12km round trip with traffic light stop and go. The car can only manage to achieve 7.5KM/L. If I ever hit the highway, the total combined 1 full tank probably max only 9-10 KM/L.

I wonder what could have gone wrong? Any hidden faulty sensors? O2 sensors? clogged fuel injectors? Have any of the member here ever encounter the same issue? I've visited few workshops and they all saying "it's normal".

I know it's a 12 years old car but should not be that really old. At 7.5KM/L FE, I feel it drinks way too much for a 1.5L car. It's almost the same FE like a 90' old car.

Since I've never owned the car when it's still new, then I totally have no idea what is the real FE when the car was its showroom condition. I am hoping any of the senior and experience ZC21 swift owner can shed some light for me.

Thank you for your help and advise  biggrin.gif
*
Wah that is bad! FYI to put it into perspective, 7.5km/ltr is like my 400+hp 2005 Evo 9 driven smoothly. Lol My son's remapped Swift Sport ZC31S 1.6 manual with free flow modified loud exhaust can easily average 10km/ltr when driven like nuts! If driven smoothly, it'll reach real avg. 12-13km/ltr. Mileage already over 150k km.

You need to check the air fuel ratio if running too rich mixture. Try do some carbon cleaning first. Bring to a reputable Swift specialist. If you're in Klang Valley, I can recommend you go to Fineworks Garage Enterprise in Subang, they are very knowledgeable on Swifts and very meticulous too with their work. The boss owns a ZC21 AT too and plays with some Swift race cars.

Ah... U ask after bought it. Nvm. 1.5 model is known to be high fc. This is why i waited until 1.4 model released. Do go to workshop based in reply above and checked by specialist.

Good luck
I saw Evo9.... Queue up first if there is chance u are letting go.. smile.gif
*
Hahaha you're like 4th or 5th in the queue. Anyway not planning to sell anytime soon coz still enjoying it very much plus I just finished reaching my target mods, so now time to just drive and enjoy.

I asked in tires thread yesterday so im gonna ask u guys here too..

Whats a good choice for 195 55 r15? My tire blown up just now. sad.gif

Budget Rm150+/- a piece, good on wet surface will do.
*
Used to be the Hankook V12E2 if you can still find it. Otherwise probably the Hankook Prime 3 or Goodyear Assurance Triplemax 2, both mid range touring tire category, 1 level below UHP.

Just drove to KL to Desaru and back 400km X 2.  No traffic.
Highway driving. On RON 97, Swift Sport Auto ZC32S.  6.5 yrs car.

Got about 16 km/l (Manual calculation).  Dashboard reading was
showing 16.7 km/l.  Is this good or bad?
*
Very good!

6900 for all that..
have not dyno, waiting to do exhaust..
still no idea what to put in.. currently only using tonka extractor with the stock muffler
*
Good price. Do exhaust first before dyno. Dyno tune is last after all done. Should expect at least around 130-140whp on the dyno jet.

Try find Suzuki Sport or Monster type X rear muffler, that sounds great. Then just remove the mid cat converter, no need to spend much. How much you got the Tonka, or it came with the car?

For Supercharged maybe yes, coz you'll be making 30-40% more power.

Similar sound to mine.

In Klang Valley I have tried 4 Swift specialists and they're all good.
1. Fineworks Garage Enterprise in Subang. This was my first workshop which I had visited the most, not the cheapest but very good and meticulous workmanship.
2. Waivon in Puchong, went there once to replace my 5th gear to longer ratio. Also very good workmanship and only the boss owner do the job. He got many aftermarket stuff too for Swift and so far the only guy I met who owns ZC33S in Malaysia.
3. Kegani Racing in Puchong, the biggest shop and the most complete equipment, prepares a lot of race cars especially Swift. Probably the most expensive of the 4 but also very meticulous work. I didn't do my Swift there but I did corner weighing setup for adjustables on my Evo 9 here.
4. DRN Kaiso in Klang, the newest and smallest shop and cheapest too but the owner is a Swift specialist who has done many Swift conversion, turbo, and supercharge installation work.

All of them drive/race or own Swift too.

u drive the yellow evo?
change ur 5th gear, how is the driving experience on highways bro?

haha i really feel like ZC31S missing 6th gear weh
*
Yup. It drops 500rpm from stock gear so a bit more relax on highway. Obviously less acceleration response in 5th but we are happy with it coz a bit more comfortable on highway cruising.
