Hi All, newbie here, about 2 months ago I just bought a 2008 ZC31S manual for my son to learn driving. Hope to learn a lot more about the car from Swift sifus here.

Hye. Im interested to buy a used SSS zc31s year 2009 and mileage almost 100k for rm 31800. Is it the price reasonable and anything ill need to consider before decide to buy it? Hope to get any answer from experienced owner here. Thanks.

FYI I just bought a 2008 manual one for just rm29k with original mileage from new at 118k km.

Good car to practice manual.

But remember to replace all the wear and tear items
*
Yup, had done so a few weeks ago plus replacing all the fluids and upgrading a few things too. Been daily driving it now and it's a very fun car! biggrin.gif

Yo guys, I am looking to buy my first car and wondering if a 2nd hand Swift is a good choice. I won't be driving that much, mostly driving out on weekend and weekday occasionally. Is it hard to find a SC for swift and is it recommended at all to buy a 2nd hand Swift?

Thanks in advance guys!

Get the manual Swift Sport, it's a perfect little pocket rocket for a weekend fun car. It's expensive for its class but it's really worth it as it's miles better than anything else in the same class. The car is a pretty simple car so repairs & maintenance is easy for just about any workshops, no need to go to SC. Parts are also still easy to find.

Hi,

Currently using 195/50/16 tyres on my SSS.  Seems like this size not much in market and my tyre guy asked me to go for 185/55/16.

Any comments?
*
Can also, slightly narrower but thicker so a bit less grip but slightly more comfortable. What tires they recommend?

Hey guys!

Need a little help looking for a Suzuki Swift 1.5GX 2012 left tail light, mine got smashed by my gate by accident.  sad.gif

Also, where can I get head rest for the back passenger seats? Cause this entry level-model don't come with them. biggrin.gif

hey guys,

my SSS is coming to 5 years in January with very low mileage, so just wanted to know what are upcoming major expenditures I should be expecting besides the regular service.  Car is currently stock with zero mods. So far only changed

1) Tyres
2) Android Auto

Car currently comes with HID standard.  According to this, we need to refer to JPJ?

Hi, need some advise from all sifu here.

My Swift 1.4 is going to 5 years old this August and recently got to know from Aiman Motor that absorber for both front and back are broken. I would like to know Suzuki Swift's absorber normally can last for how long?

There are some comments that absorber can last very long(>8 years) and won't spoil so easily. But there are also some comments that the lifespan for absorber is around 5years.

SC told me that they will have to change the whole set of absorber including mounting where quoted 3k plus for both front and back. Is that necessarily to change the whole set if mounting still usable?

Driving pattern is normal driving in Cheras area most of the time and always under mileage.

Can share your experience, brand and price for the absorber that you all currently using?

Thank you  thumbup.gif

3k plus is cut throat price! FYI I just changed front only using Kayaba Japan, rm670. Rear should be a bit cheaper. So total for full set absorbers only should not be more than 1.4k. If you use cheaper local absorbers like Proride, can be just rm700-800.

The maintenance free battery (korea made) in my SSS 2013 just lasted 1 year 7 mths.  The only devices I have installed are front/rear dashcams and an android auto HU.

How long do you guys battery last on avg?
*
That is bad! I'd expect at least minimum 2 years.
