I have 2 question regarding ZC31S, specifically the Sport variant.
How come the spec of the sport model so inconsistent?
One time i see a 1.6 sport. I survey again later & found 1.5 sport. Yes, both have the red sport logo on the back.
Same goes with side signal lamp. Both are sport but 1 have signal lamps on the body & one on side mirror.
I thought side mirror signal & 1.6 are already standard on Swift Sport?
Another question is, if we buy ZC31S Swift Sport, we can already install 17" rim on the get go without any modification, right?
Sports Model have 1.6 liter engine. 1.5 is normal swift, some owner just slap on Sport bodykit and change exhaust to 2 exit to look like the sport model.
There is an easy way to spot a Sport model from exterior. Sport model have 5 lugs/nuts per wheel and comes with rear disc brake. Normal Swift owner rarely replace these parts just to look like Sport. Also, the rear brake light cluster in Sport does not have reverse light in it, reverse light is on lower bumper side.
ZC31S have 2 version, at least in Malaysia. That is pre-facelift (before 2008) and facelift (2008 - 2010). Pre facelift have side signal on body, 6800 RPM redline, shorter 1st gear ratio and taller final drive ratio for manual (100km/h in 5th gear around 3300RPM).
Facelifted version have side signal on side mirror, 7000 RPM redline, taller 1st gear and shorter final drive ratio for manual (100km/h in 5th gear around 3500RPM), keyless entry and start. Facelifted version also have slightly tweaked suspension setting.
ZC31S actually have official 17" wheel, not available for MY. Available in JP and UK. So fitting 17" won't be a problem.
