 Maxis iPhone6 Warranty Claim, Warranty Claim

I have bought and signed up a 2 years contract with one of the maxis authorized dealer last week 19/6/2015. While i'm still in the shop, The iphone Sim Card Tray is stucked when i using my no cut original nano sim card from maxis. The shop immediately asked me to go to the maxis centre at johor bahru danga bay to exchange a new set. when i reach there the guy there tell me i have to go apple service centre at danga city mall to open the sim tray first. it is ridiculous that maxis centre do not have own staff to open the phone under maxis own warranty!! with a lot of frustration i can only go down to danga city mall apple service centre and requested a report from them. then i go back to maxis centre again and this time they say cannot change 1 to 1 on the spot and can only wait and claim for warranty. seriously what the f!! u sold a factory defect phone, made me signed a 2 years contract with you and you cannot 1 to 1 change the phone for me on the spot when i have paid already!! now i don't know need to wait for how many years for the warranty claim!! bullshit!!! you maxis should really consider to change this stupid policy when people bought the phone and havent even leave the shop and discover the phone is spoilt you should change a new phone on the spot!!!!!!!! you should also hire some phone technician at the maxis centre to check the phone problem because it is under your own maxis warranty and not letting your customer running around for nothing!!!!
after being such a loyal customer of maxis for more than 10 years i am really regretted to buy the phone from maxis.

Wow!! thats really not the way should be treated. As far as I understand, the Maxis Centre should take of this and not push customers to Apple. Did u talk with the reps abt this? What did they say?

even i hv called to maxis helpline 123 a few times, they just say "this is the standard procedure". what the hell is this standard procedure? maxis warranty need to go to apple service centre by the customer and request checking of the phone?? after checked it is factory defect phone still cannot exchange a new one on the spot even they have stock, need to wait and wait and wait... until now almost 2 weeks havent receive a call from the MAtherfkerXIS. mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

you should have requested the authorized dealer to change the phone for you instead. Imagine you buy an asus laptop and upon boot up in that shop, you see defective screen. Do the dealer ask you to go to asus service center to exchange a new unit immediately?

of course i requested the authorized dealer to change the phone but they couldnt do it because of this Maxis policy. and they dont have stock for the iphone6 also. i was told by the authorized dealer i can only exchange it at the maxis centre because it is under maxis warranty. then i called to maxis 123 and checked whether they have stock at maxis centre danga bay centre so i can go there immediately to change it, they tell me have stock and ask me to go there replaced it, but when i reach maxis centre then all this rediculous scenario happened!

Actually this is the unfair policy in Malaysia.Not only maxis celcom digi also like this.I think the problem is not at Maxis side.You should asked the authorized dealer change for you.

When they ask you go maxis centre mean it will claim warranty.Maxis Centre only can let you claim warranty instead change a new unit for you.

The phone is signed with the authorized dealer so it should be change by the authorized dealer.They kick the ball to Maxis Centre Danga Bay.

Claim warranty is quite fast,I think within 1~2 week.But are you know your phone will not be new?It is a refurbished iphone mean a phone who claim by others and apple fix the problem and change a new battery and external cover.Of course without the white box.

The only way to prevent the policy is buy directly from apple online store.

Hopefully can hear the good news from maxis for your problem.

May I know which dealer you sign the iphone?

you mean i will only receive a refurbished and not a new iphone????? what the hell.... pay so much and signed 2 years contract to receive a refurbished phone?? no way man...

yes the authorized dealer he said he can change for me but it takes longer time, so he suggest i go to the maxis centre at danga bay immediately because when i called up and ask they say got stock, so he told me i could get an 1 to 1 exchange there.

Iphone claim warranty is like that,a refurbished phone will issue to you.
In Malaysia,if you buy apple product in maxis digi celcom umobile machines switch mac city,you should get ready for this unfair policy when you step out from the shop.
Where the problem phone now?
Now you wait the dealer change for you or maxis danga bay?

the phone has already surrendered to maxis centre danga bay on the day i bought it. so can i reject the so called warranty claim refurbished phone and request to cancel the contract and take back my money? i think nobody on earth would accept this kind of treatment.
by the way until now i still never get a call from maxis. how could you not be frustrated?

you can try the way you said and wait for the answer from maxis.
I think you need to call them or go to the centre ask them the current process.
You also can try to complain to cfm if their asnwer or solution provided you cant agree.

previosly I meet a problem with tm unifi,they cant settle my problem more than 2 month.
I complain to this cfm,my problem been settled in one week.Service quality quite good for this website.

If cfm cant settle your problem,then you only complaint to http://aduan.skmm.gov.my/

how do i know that the phone that maxis giving me is a refurbished set and not a new iphone?
