No need to take new one, coz you tend to lose a lot. Just get a good condition used car will do. And in most cases their condition is quite good coz most ppl buy convertible as weekend or hobby car, just buy and stare, hardly drive.

Like my case I got a first gen SLK where past owner already loss like mad. And it holds up well in value now as it's classified as classic car now. Just buy and drive.
