You should hop in A.S.A.P. tongue.gif

Any way you can try dropping Catalyst 1040.0 D3D files into pCars root folder to get benefit of driver optimization without installing the driver. Usually it will work.
You can download the files in Catalyst DLLs repo here.

Driver problems? hmm.gif

Seems like default Nvidia settings had the LOD quite short
Nvidia users should put the settings to high quality in the Nvidia control panels.
No idea what's the performance impact, I only had Radeons atm.

I wouldn't judge image quality through video especially when the differences is subtle.  sweat.gif

Those people are really picky. I play game I just go in for the action / story la. Graphic details as those, no time to observe.
*
First, check out the filtering, even with video you can see the texture details on the roads and grass totally different.
Second, even if you play a game for the action and story, It's no excuse to skimp on these basic things.
Thirdly, benchmarking a GPU means comparing the performance of different GPU models and vendor with standard tests, this also imply that:

Check the sentences with bold red line underneath

You are doing benchmark, make sure the image quality is nearly the same, else the comparison is null and void.

Many of those stuff are beyond us. Even if it's slightly different that doesn't mean it'll affect the benchmark a lot.

Furthermore each driver update may have changes, even if the scores are high now it could end up being higher later.

Usually those image comparison done by people with a lot of free time. I've not come by any other review sites that actually do this type of image comparison simply because

1. not practical.
2. it doesn't happen often
3. if it happens, there's no way to check whether it actually affects the framerates.
4. people only care about framerates.
*
If this is the case, then it should be fair to submit multi game or synthetic benchmarks by using the tessellation override option, since we only care about framerates.

Look at the FPS number, 10% hit on Titan X when running at the same image quality settings as Fury X.

All benchmarks partaining to Nvidia's cards are questionable now.

"Optimization"

What setting is this? In NCP or ingame?
Is it only happen in BF4? What about 980Ti?
*
That was the settings in NCP. No idea about 980 Ti yet. People who own 970, 980, & 980 Ti should run these two settings in some games and compare the screenshots.

Oh by the way Fury X is meant to be crossfired Unseen83

There is thing called professional benchmark and review and if their was a case like this than nvidia hater sites would have highlighted it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vnr9FoTAyCA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dYqNXlDV8dE

If you can find any lower IQ in GTX 980 Ti in this benchmarks  vs Fury X.

It is simply a time to move on and accept the defeat rather making an stupid excuse.
*
It is not a stupid excuse, one reviewer confirmed he ran NCP at default settings for benchmark.

Remove GTA V from the list because it is a known bug and only 350.12 do not have that AF bug.It was highlighted by PCper that GTA V AF drops after 350.12 driver.
*
Still have Arma 3, BF4, Project Cars etc

I looked at the videos, the videos are horribly compressed to the point that the edges of the car in GTA V is not clearly defined. Are you serious to compare image quality on such horrible source?

I will tell u again their is a thing called professional benchmarking which is not for everyone.
*
*Professional*

10% FPS drop when ran on the quality designed by game developers

Comparing worse image quality setting in NCP (default setting) vs better image quality settings in CCC is benchmarking, lol. I call it cheating.

I just asked you 1 question did you see any IQ difference in videos that i posted to you?
If you cannot answer it than do not even bother to post in tech section.

I know Greg and i follow his you tube and currently are around  200 subscriber so the video that i showed to you have more than 50k subscriber .

Processional review requires alot of stuff not just shadowplay like PCper and Tom hardware says.

It will cost around 30K Rm.

Lousy video quality and not zoomed, how to see the texture details???

Provide screenshots please

Posting video links ain't doing nothing.

You said IQ is the same, post screenshots and circle the parts with comparable image quality on the same scene on both cards. Provide proof.

780 ain't exactly 980Ti / Titan X. It's not even a maxwell.
Explain to me how shadowplay encoding can remove textures on the 3d game's road surface?

Easy look at all my vids my youtube channel.

Compare that with gregster on the same game.

Mine are all maxed out. N i upload it raw. Hence y 1440p/4k@60 takes youtube a week to have that option

Sorry about my attitude, but I just wanted the truth.
I myself are interested in Gigabyte 980 Ti G1 *if* I revamp my whole PC but these news about IQ really makes me feel betrayed. I had always liked sharper textures and IQ.

Dude there need to be more input. But seriously this topic crops up everytime a newbie suddenly becomes a reviewer. Everytime. You ureself can see theres no traction from oldtimers. Cause same shit different day.

I wont be suprised somebody showed tess heavy game .. Amd optimization to compensate.
Pros n cons.
Cons nvidia folk says bs as thats not how it suppose to look like
Pros well dude it just makes the game easier to run. Ultimately this is more important.
Lol. Clockwork. Every 5 years same topic. See you again with same line in another 5 lol.

Btw did 353.38 solve ure witcher 3 issue??
*
Why you didn't trust Gigabyte? Which brand usually have better components?

Did anyone encounter any blackouts during gaming with the latest beta driver?  My machine just blacked out when I'm playing League of Legends... sweat.gif

I have to power off my machine using the mains, and drain all the power in my machine by pressing the power button multiple times. sweat.gif
*
Happened to me, it was my Asus motherboard shutting the PC down due to power surge, really weird because my PSU ain't exactly the lousy model. Then I turned off the power surge setting in my MOBO and blackout happens very rarely now. Maybe once a month? I can't remember the last time it happened.

Did u notice that my VRAM usage is higher than Greg.He has some problem that is for sure.

See my FPS, Vram Usage and i am running on GTX 980 single card.
*
I also forgot about LOD, can you check LOD settings too.
If LOD bias is set that farther object details wouldn't load, that's probably why VRAM usage is lower, it isn't streamed into the VRAM.

if 980 is fine, can someone with titan x provide ss on it? Might be driver bug?
