Meanwhile, will AMD ever release a WHQL driver?

QUOTE(Minecrafter @ Jul 4 2015, 10:21 PM) *uses AMD card* = fanboy/fangirl or fanatic What kind of logic is that lol? It's like saying "You use car A,so you're an A fanboy/fangirl/fanatic.". Come on la,if you use an Intel or AMD for CPU,NVidia or AMD for GPU,it doesn't mean you're what i mentioned above. Don't go out there and call a person an Intel fanboy/fangirl/fanatic just for using e.g. intel. You'll never know. |

It looks like we might be seeing custom AIB cards from day 1 for the Fury. All the more reason why Fury images were not release. I could be wrong tho.

QUOTE(S4PH @ Jul 5 2015, 01:04 PM) yeah vapor x will certainly improve cooling to the max on air, damn fury x so tempting I doubt that..the 980Ti is way faster..with all we have seen air id say cooled fury would still be ahead of GTx 980 and 390x. Maybe it might be better on price/perf ratio |

That Strix look darn good. I believe asus over engineered that board hence an oced card is definately in the pipelines
edit: Just tried out Frame Rate control, set to 60 fps, gaming on my R9 280x did not exceed 68 deg C for Watch Dogs Bad Blood GTA V on the other hand, crashes even while the game loads. Gotta edit the settings xml to lower the settings bit This post has been edited by area61: Jul 10 2015, 10:59 PM |

QUOTE(faidz85 @ Jul 22 2015, 10:15 AM) Hehe since we are strolling down the memory lane, The legendary Riva TNT2 Nvidia Riva TNT 2 > Geforce 6600GT > Radeon HD4870 > Radeon 7850 > R9 390 Anyway tested R9 390 last night and for 1080p gaming, it could last for a while. Tested most games I have all maxed out. Hopefully enough until the next 16nm architechture mature. Mine started from Riva TNT2> Radeon 9250> Radeon HD3850> Radeon HD4850> Radeon HD5850> GeForce GTX760> Radeon R9 280X Still looking for used R9 290, cant seem to get one in a good price. |

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Aug 19 2015, 12:42 AM) It was all over the web yesterday. Well it shows that DX12 looks to be promising, but will the cards that support DX12 from lower end of the food chain benefit from this as well? Say something like R9 380 or lower... TL;DR, DX12 gained on AMD's GPU is huge because of their crappy multi-threaded DX11(most of the time only single threaded) and gained on Nvidia's hardware was marginal because of their stellar multi-threaded DX11 and some of the benchmark show -ve scaling when using DX12. |

QUOTE “There have been many attempts to distract people from this truth through campaigns that deliberately conflate feature levels, individual untiered features and the definition of “support.” This has been confusing, and caused so much unnecessary heartache and rumor-mongering. Here is the unvarnished truth: Every graphics architecture has unique features, and no one architecture has them all. Some of those unique features are more powerful than others. Yes, we’re extremely pleased that people are finally beginning to see the game of chess we’ve been playing with the interrelationship of GCN, Mantle, DX12, Vulkan and LiquidVR.” http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/amd-there...dx12-today.html My 2cents: The current crop hardware are not fully DX12 compatible irregardless of the manufacturer, and there is no point in argueing the feature levels; my eyes wont even notice these small stuffs. Give me high res texture pack in games, im happy with that. This post has been edited by area61: Sep 1 2015, 05:11 PM |

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Sep 8 2015, 09:40 AM) Dang, but this new case from DAN is smaller i think. Anandtech is not how it used to be after Anand himself left..and yes everything nowadays is just about the bench scores rather than analysis and indepth reviewedit: just notice that rig also use riser for the Nano. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Yes but most tech reviewer generate revenue from web traffics and sponsorship/ads especially popular site. One shit article about that specific company, you could lose your revenue. From forumer Mahigan about tech journalist nowadays, Even toms isnt my cup of tea..guess best of media is just ripping toms for the ads |

QUOTE(DeepMemory @ Sep 20 2015, 06:35 PM) Guys, I am planning to install a R9 390X in my rig and i also want to upgrade my PSU. Is the FSP Hexa 550W enough for this GPU? Else I am looking at Corsair CX600M or is there a better one? better to top up a bit and go for Seasonic S12II 620W550W is quite on the borderline. |
