Anyone wants to sell their vintage 20mm leather strap for around RM100?
I want to wear it on my wedding day but no money to buy new. T_T

I ordered one from a guy in FB who hand make them, but so slow la.
Been waiting more than a month already.

Think the leather colour a bit too light. Maybe lighting? Because it almost matches your skin tone.
*
Really?
I thought of going lighter brown; tan color. Haha.

QUOTE(onicom @ Aug 3 2015, 11:25 PM)
Hi, just wanted your input on buying a diver watch for myself at around the USD 1000 and below range.

So far i like the homage watches like the steinhart or the squale. Anybody own either one can give me some feedback on how those 2 brands are?

So far i've noticed on youtube that alot of watch guys are labelling "mid tier" watches as "dog shit" and would rather recommend a high quality quartz instead of paying 1k plus for a mechanical watch and better to upgrade straight to an omega or rolex which is crazy money for me.
*
QUOTE(onicom @ Aug 4 2015, 09:52 AM)
I am worried about its value/quality to price ratio. Is a squale really worth its asking price.
*
QUOTE(onicom @ Aug 4 2015, 10:14 AM)
The quality right out of the box for the overall fit and finish, the movement accuracy etc. quality of a product doesnt include the expectation that the value of the time piece will increase over time since thats based on the brand and its heritage which i didnt mention since i know the kind of watches in my price range are not those where the value will increase.

If i wanted the "whole package" like what your talking about, i will get either an omega or better a rolex or patek.
*
I own a Squale 1545 and I can say that I am absolutely pleased with the watch.
Awesome build and finishing.
Movement is accurate enough, it's an ETA2824.
Totally worth it.
Just go for it. You wont regret it!

You can get it locally from Wristsolution.

Is that an orange Isofrane? How are the straps? Comfy? Do they really smell of vanilla?
*
No bro.
Just a cheap one I bought from ebay.
Tried the Isofrane, very nice. Yes it smells like vanilla.
Put the strap in a drawer and the smell stick to it and will last for decades. tongue.gif

I just can't seem to agree with the price tho.

I second that!
Totally on par with Isofrane.
And very cheap!
It's a bit stiff tho, i think isofrane easier to bend coz of the rectangular holes on the strap.

QUOTE(Everdying @ Aug 6 2015, 10:52 AM)
isofrane or the likes doesnt go well on seikos.
imo its too thick for the seiko cases, and if u think it goes well on a tuna...think again.
the lugless design of the tuna doesnt like isofranes too.
not to mention u have to source for skinny bars with fat tips.
*
I put WD40 on strap holes and springbars, and they will slide in. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Jason @ Aug 6 2015, 10:53 AM)
Oris rubber straps also smell like vanilla. I like the Squale but whats with the model number doing on the dial.

And nice strap.
*
Thanks bro!
Btw 20 ATM means 200m. It's in atmospheric pressure.

Edit:
Sorry you meant Y1545?
Then yeah, but I'm totally ok with it. tongue.gif

Nice strap. Where did you get it from?

And what watch is strapped to the isofrane? Orange isofrane pairs quite well with a few watches imho.
*
Ordered it from a guy in FB by the name of Mohd Fadhil.
Waited for more than a month to get it.
His work is OK i guess. But most importantly genuine leather for RM100. tongue.gif

That isn't an Isofrane btw.
