Hi, just wanted your input on buying a diver watch for myself at around the USD 1000 and below range.

So far i like the homage watches like the steinhart or the squale. Anybody own either one can give me some feedback on how those 2 brands are?

So far i've noticed on youtube that alot of watch guys are labelling "mid tier" watches as "dog shit" and would rather recommend a high quality quartz instead of paying 1k plus for a mechanical watch and better to upgrade straight to an omega or rolex which is crazy money for me.

I am worried about its value/quality to price ratio. Is a squale really worth its asking price.

The quality right out of the box for the overall fit and finish, the movement accuracy etc. quality of a product doesnt include the expectation that the value of the time piece will increase over time since thats based on the brand and its heritage which i didnt mention since i know the kind of watches in my price range are not those where the value will increase.

If i wanted the "whole package" like what your talking about, i will get either an omega or better a rolex or patek.

isofrane or the likes doesnt go well on seikos.
imo its too thick for the seiko cases, and if u think it goes well on a tuna...think again.
the lugless design of the tuna doesnt like isofranes too.
not to mention u have to source for skinny bars with fat tips.

Oris rubber straps also smell like vanilla. I like the Squale but whats with the model number doing on the dial.

And what watch is strapped to the isofrane? Orange isofrane pairs quite well with a few watches imho.

Oh you bought it used, maybe not so bad but im planning to get it brand new.
