QUOTE(prs516 @ Aug 19 2015, 08:05 AM) How much RRP for Tudor Black Bay Blue? Usually how much discount can i get from AD? If you really want to go into watches, make collecting watches your hobby, then you should heed their advice.Thank you sir. I'm new to watches so need advice from more experience collector here. Any advice are welcomed. For me, between those two choices, a normal person should go with the Tag. People know the brand, just that among watch collectors, it has somewhat becoming more of a fashion brand. The movement and build quality is very good, and designs are in the eye of the beholder. I like the design too! Don't go with the Ball though. |

QUOTE(r3kahsttub @ Aug 21 2015, 11:48 AM) Not scared of scratches at all. Most of my watches have dings and scratches. My speedy is worst, since it was my test mule for strap changes. I'm still not good at it, though. Just... I don't like scratches or dings that were not made by myself. Idk if that makes sense. Totally agree with you bro!Taking out an old mule.. this one got plenty of silly scars ![]() My own scratches are absolutely fine. |

QUOTE(pky @ Aug 23 2015, 06:33 PM) Need some help, my less than 1 year old Ball just died on me. Just go back to the shop, say that 1 day the crown suddenly stop working. Was in a rush during my last winding and I think i winded it when the crown wasn't in a proper position and heard a "Click"sound. Now the crown can turn, but it's not winding both the date and hands. Can claim under warranty? or some option to repair it? It's my first above 3k watch and I never thought it's so fragile. |

QUOTE(hahaha1989 @ Aug 24 2015, 12:48 PM) Errr because it looks nice? Haha tbh that's basically my main criteria in a watch. I'm not a watch freak, nor a watch 'connoisseur' if there is one. SKX007 is around RM900. Non hand-windable though. Thanks for the suggestion, nice looking watch. What's the market price for the SKX007? I nampak Seiko terus macam seram sikit bcs normally it's expensive. Bare in mind, my tudor is bought after i saved for almost a year bro. And my dad topping up slightly more than 3k I'm joking of course when i say the table will break Seiko Sumo is around RM2K. With a better movement than the SKX007. But a bigger watch. QUOTE(Everdying @ Aug 25 2015, 04:13 PM) i havent done any power reserve testing for so long already...just not bothered much...as long as it runs more than 24hrs How is it related?nowadays im just measuring the weight of the case and bracelet for stuff i get...and once awhile monitor its accuracy. accuracy and power reserve are sometimes co-related anyway. My OM accuracy is damn bad. Haha. And why the weight? |

My friend got a U-Watch. He bought from Lelong for only RM80.
It has all the smart watch functions, I think. If you want to feed your curiosity, go get that. |

QUOTE(fuzzy @ Aug 27 2015, 04:08 PM) Fitness bands filled a market at the time, casual folks who wanted to get into the whole "active lifestyle" without appearing like a nerd or hardcore fitness freak. It had an easy to grasp concept, focused product and marketed well. Bikers will need those smart watches. Smart watches have yet to fill any market need. Mobile phones are still far too well, mobile that the watch is pretty much pointless. There are some advantages here and there, but it doesn't have enough to justify it. Health tracker? It's too bulky when you go on a run. GPS? Waze is far more visual and easy to follow. Calls? Messages? Again, you rarely find yourself in a situation that you cannot look at your phone but somehow is ok to look at the watch. Maybe Apple can kickstart that need, they certainly have done so in the past with the iPad, but for now, I cannot think of anything that will make me need a smartwatch to the point where it can replace the versatility and timelessness of a watch, be it the 009 or the Seamaster. It's hard to pull out your phone with the gloves and you certainly can't use the touchscreen. But then, smart watches also use touchscreen. |

QUOTE(Gilthoniel @ Sep 4 2015, 02:10 AM) Just a short review for you guys Awesome watch and photos!» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « In conclusion, this watch is a beauty and the polished centre links have turned out to be a non-issue as well. I love the technology involved in this very retro looking watch and it looks comfortable from the boardroom to the deck of your boat before a dive. Thank you for sharing! |
