if you are chinese bt downloader, can try the bitspirit software at www.167bt.com , with the setup "Nat Traversal/UDP transport" = enabled + "optimised" + set port foward properly(TCP+UDP), i can get 60KB+ (if not flashgeting other files, max can be 100KB).
look like streamyx not checking/blocking UDP packet, and bitspirit having more powerful UDP transfer than others, check my speed and those user with NAT traversal uploading data to me. This post has been edited by gl7: Sep 27 2007, 05:48 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

the pic taken today, was subscribed to bolehvpn, but the past 2 days they having problem, so i have to remove the proxy setting, you can see the proxy setting have the red status of "the proxy is working..." after i test the proxy, little software bug not clearing the status after i delete the bolehvpn settings.
The UDP transfer more faster than the slowed down bolehvpn due to server issues, only can get 20- 25KB with VPN. have been using the NAT traversal things for chinese bt long ago, but since have to download some western bt, no choice to get bolehvpn for more faster speed. hopefully more and more ppl use bitspirit so that more UDP tranfering occurs. ya, spy as they will, internet got more creative software come out the next seconds, by not doing work to improve the equipments, they are just wasting time and big money to disgust their customer. just like the sony CD protection fuxked up. |

I recently downloaded 2 movies.. one dixv and one 4GB dvd.
The downloads were very fast, over 100kBps (not 100kbps, but 100kBps displayed on utorrent), and reaching out to 121kBps.. and of course, there were many seeds, more than 60. 4.2GB dvd took me less than 24 hours to complete, and the divx is about a few hours.. I'm on 1Mbps package. I though bit torrent is being throttled? This post has been edited by zeese: Oct 22 2007, 12:28 PM |

Hi...I'm new and sorry for asking which might be a stupid question here:
I'm using uTorrent and I only seem to be able to leech from local peers. Overseas peers, either 0kB/s or super duper slow...Is this happening to everyone? |
