Standard piping .. so saving in buying air-con, no need think about inverter, eco-saving, kills .. n +++. You install 1.0hp for master room, cool enough ? Can't fix for 1.5hp ? If use R440, need to do a big hacking, rite ? coz the wiring and piping is inside the wall.
What brand you bought ? I visited 2 elec shop, both of them recommend samsung.

To me 1.0 HP is cool enough, not sure how is it for you. If morning, depending your master room facing direct sunlight or not, and if you have fan, black-out curtains & tinting.
I didn't ask whether possible for 1.5HP. Because footprint of room quite small, unless you want to cool the bathroom as well.

Yes removing the entire piping is a hassle plus inverter air-conds are costly.

I've bought Daikin. IMO quite noisy during startup. You may try Panasonic and update. Nothing against Samsung, but I think their specialty lies with LCD screens.

Hi All,

I have question regarding your electric bill.

Mine on Sept is RM4.XX only... then suddenly raise to RM590.00 in October(i haven't move in there yet)...

I report to TNB and the came to check yesterday..it caused by leakage in the electric main board by around 7-9 KW..not sure the measurement mentioned by TNB correct or not...

Also, im not sure that leakage berjangkit to all electrical device such as refrigerator...tv..dvd player..i've tested it using test pen...all got power leakage...
I call the samsung taiko from Bukit tinggi to check my peti ais luckily its not damage and he suggest me to shut off the peti ais.. has anyone encounter this?

And can i claim the RM500 bill electric from SD?

Thanks

Wow. RM 590? What do they mean by leakage? 7-9kW is quite substantial. Is it 7-9kW/hr?

And mind to share how did you manage to check using test pen?

Just fill in the DRF. I'm sure they have to entertain your problem.

Im not sure bout the measurement unit... :-) may be it is it 7-9kW/hr

Just touch the test pen to the steel part of the device...and if there is a leakage the bulb in the test pen will on...

Just fill in the DRF. I'm sure they have to entertain your problem.

Yeah already fill in the drf..as usual 14days required. Nonesense!

Ah.. voltage leaking via earth. That's dangerous. Will try next time when if anything similar is happening. Currently overseas now

The next time if you drop by you may include the SPD Type 1 issue as well. Having more complains from residents the more likely they will do something about it.

Sorry i am quite noob about electrical matters... meaning we shud change SPD Type 1 to another better type?
*
Yes if you read my earlier post, for houses having lightning rods, SPD Type 1 is minimum requirement. However they just provided us with Type 2. Price difference might be the reason? Type 1 is about 8 to 10x more expensive than Type 2.

connecting to the TV socket so far away from the socket below the staircase. Is this the socket that the fibre were connected to the front.
*
yes, this is the box which connects from the washing machine area to the area below staircase. Below this box you should be able to find an ethernet wall port, which is connected to the port @ the tv area.

Is it ethernet port? I thought it is telephone port since it has telephone symbol on it hmm.gif
*
The internal port size is slightly different. The ethernet port is visibly larger. I guess it was a mistake on their part for making the outer enclosure design common.
