The technology used & the effectiveness should be the main concern when choosing a water filter system. A relative small filter will have small filter size with small surface area which reduce the effectiveness of the water filter. If you are concern about the available space in your kitchen, you can look into eSpring as it only acquire little space & it can be counter top or under sink set up.

Can you please send a link to it? Not sure what it is.
Nothing wrong besides the fact that it is absolute pseudo science. Basically any system can be claimed to be alkaline, doesn't do any good (but to be honest, doesn't do much harm either), it was just a matter of time until each and every system becomes alkaline on paper, since it is the buzz word and no actual way to control it.
I believe I did a huge review of it here, maybe you can find it. As a summary, a lot of hype, pseudo science and very little actual quality filtration. The worst is that there is no need to even actually try it, it is all in the text already.

Oh, got the link, please check. I cannot find the very very first, more detailed review though sad.gif

Yeah, pretty much. There is no study in the world that proves that alkaline water does any good. Unfortunately it is all marketing fed to us...

But why would you change the dispenser? Just keep your dispenser and add new filter system to it. Still have that magic?

I summarized everything in this guide, not a promotion, it's really a summary of what was mentioned on this forum. No sales talk.

Yeah, it will be the same setup. If you are happy with your dispenser, keep it, just add the filter. Can you please send the picture of your current filter or the model number? Sure a solution can be found. Can Whatsapp me too.

let me explain this fully and in detail wink.gif
i got 2 condo
condo A renovated first, the original design had a sink in the middle of the dry kitchen, my reno i just put and island and water outlet, this water outlet connects to a pre-filter then the magic unit as pictured below.
user posted image
additional info, some how this idiot design caused many leaking issues for residents of units below.
POE got small filter like the size of fire extinguisher due to POE space issue.
been using for a few years quite happy with it, though seldom use the hot water function, if got similar unit without hot water also ok.

so now condo B just done renovation, similarly done kitchen setup but this one has a big sediment type POE filter.
so i need a similar indoor filter + dispenser as above.
plug & play.

Oh, now I see...

Your best bet for quality filtration is really a dispenser + separate filter, unless you want to spend a lot to get quality dispenser with built in filters, but all depends on budget and priorities of course. So if you do not use hot water function, which one you use? Room temperature or cold? Asking because I may have an option for you if you are using cold mostly.

room temperature.
