The base is to avoid the eSpring get water soak and turned yellowish, not nice looking. Sometimes when we wash hand or plates the water splash we didn't clean it. It's up to individual preference though. I have customers which want to retain the plastic as well, it looks like brand new even after years.

Those with water dispenser is different from instant boil, water dispenser will keep reboil when the temperature drop.
Instant water boiler only boil when you press the button and ready to use around 3-5 secs.

Why is it hard to boil own water when need it? For parents with kids, just use vacuum flask. I stop using the Thermo pots and my electric usage drop RM 10 per month.

Cold water, just add ice or put water in fridge. 

Those instant things is waste of electric. For those don't mind ok lah.

I am looking for aquaphor crystal eco as well, went to MF3 expo and they quoted me rm 1699 which is the same as what zheilwane is offering.

Gonna get it from zheilwane since he has combo package with Multipore outdoor filter. Any other forumers found better deal ?

Alright, I will do my best to present my new system, which I call Fresca Disruptor (FD) here. THIS IS NOT SALES PITCH. I will only share pure facts and whenever there's my opinion, I will clearly indicate it. But apologies if I break the rules of the forum.

FD has a bracket, can be mounted on it, but what we do is actually slightly different. We leave extra long tubing. This way, when you need to service the system, you just take it out and put in your sink without disconnecting. So any water that leaks when maintenance is done, will go directly into sink without making any mess.
As for Aquasana, what are these cartridges? I tried to find it online, Aquasana bombards you with information, but doesn't tell you what is each cartridge. First one they say is sediment 20 micron, ok, but what is it made of? Is it melt blown cartridge?

One of the stages is clearly 0.5 micron modified carbon block, I'm supposing that would be last stage, but what is stage 2?

Anyway, I see 2 potential problems. If stage 1 and stage 2 are "depth" filtration, meaning they catch particles inside rather than on the surface (like a sponge vs a net), then they get blocked and there is no way to wash it.

Second issue could be that stage 3, being modified carbon block with 0.5 absolute is so heavily modified that it gets blocked in no time with non-sediment type of contaminants.

Solution to problem 1 would be a washable pre-filter, 5 micron or even 1 micron pleated poly, depending on what your stage 2 is. But then you may as well not use stage 1 of Aquasana (it's 20 micron).

This may solve second problem as well, and if not then you need a sub micron pre filter (UF, Disruptor type etc).

But overall, I never understood why Aquasana made these 1/2 filters... Clearly they get blocked 2 times faster than full size filters.

P.S. and why do they say on Lazada that system is made in USA when it is not, but that's not related to our discussion.

No, ceramic is the worst idea as pre filter. Ceramic can be ok last stage, but as pre filter it will get blocked even faster than Aquasana.

For pre filter, you can get standard housing+fittings+cartridge. I will drop some pictures later today. We are planning to sell supply pre filter with every Aquaphor in the future, so I have some ideas.

It doesn't work that way, unfortunately. Do not forget that NSF is USA standard, if system is not selling in USA, chances are it will not have NSF. Many very expensive German systems do not have NSF.

On the other hand, in USA, most systems have NSF 42, either at system or component level (meaning all components are NSF, but system itself doesn't have a certificate with it's name).

And then there is California... They do not accept or respect NSF, they have their own standards and their certification is bloody expensive. So once a company does certify in California, then they can go ahead and get NSF 53 at the same time, for example.

Rather than looking for NSF,  look for what filter is able to do. Example, 3M Easy Complete and Aquasana are NSF from top to bottom, but they cannot remove bacteria, so technically still not safe to drink directly.
Yes, there are quality cheaper filters in 800-1200 range. But 800  is probably minimum for direct drinking water filter. Can have slightly cheaper one to remove taste, odor, chlorine, VOCs etc, but then still must boil.

You bought transparent? They do tend to explode a lot more often than blue brothers and also they are not UV resistant at all, so better install where there is minimum direct sunlight
