Just came across Bacfree road show.
Seems new product line Watero. - anyone has experience and research on this?

It is table top, without installation.
Filter- we may buy and change the catridge ourself without committing monthly service.

the downside is need to refill into the water tank.
decent price @ RM 1700 or so.

This reminds me of Kent RO... I think Bacfree just rebranded some system available somewhere in China, when Chinese companies started to copy Xiaomi RO.
1. NSF and Golden Seal? Highly doubt they have any of that.

2. What components do they use? Who is their supplier of RO membrane and filters, this is the most important to know.

3. Stage 4 and 5... Unless they have 3 water tanks... Where are these placed? If they are in line with 1-2-3 and follow 1-2-3 immediately, then Bacfree have no idea what they are doing, just like Kent RO. These are used as post tank treatment in RO systems with tank.

4. RO membrane, single one, must have at least 2:1 reject water (or at least 1:1 if you want your membrane to die quickly). So out of 5L of water, you must be able to have like 1.5 L of clean water. Where does the waste go, since it is not connected to a drain. Another tank?

5. 1 inline carbon filter is definitely not enough to protect RO membrane. How long they claim replacement is required?

If they have reasonable answers for these questions, then it could be a good system for limited use, for people who absolutely want RO and have no possibility to install filter (for example in the office space). But to be honest, at this price you can get top quality system and instant smart kettle/instant dispenser

Thanks, pretty interesting analysis. Seems like you are in water chemistry for some time?
What would you recommend, which provide a more comprehensive filtration for drinking water dispenser?
din manage to go through and read the earlier thread, perhaps a short summary of 2 for ease of selection?

Since I am also a seller of some products, I do not want just to say "these 2 are the best". What I can suggest is to refer to https://frescatec.com/pou-how-to/ which is our unbiased (as much as possible) guide. Then refer to the FAQ section. This way you can make your own decision, without me or anyone else pushing a specific product, you will know what KIND of system you need.

Of course if you have questions concerns after, please ask either here or through PM smile.gif

Aha... i knew this coming. Directing to the "only"product which you are selling. Nothing else even make a fair comparison.
Afterall- this discussion thread were more or less dominated with discussion over to a single brand.

Let me share my point,
- i am a user, not selling anything.
- i am NOT saying any product is good, I am NOT saying Frescatec is not good. - it might be good.

well, looking back is the very much bias/one sided comment written on 11th March:

1- relating/reminded u of Kent RO/Xiamo is just a speculation, what basis is that? of course, a view does not need basis but we can see what u are directing.
2- U doubt they have NSF, and Golden Seal- what makes u think they dont have? Speculative?
3- what component they use? whole supply the RO membran/filter element? i dont know... do we ever check? Probably in house, or contract manufacturing- just like 90% of all sub component these days.

anyway... how about the statement on Frescatec link u share:
"Fresca Disruptor is the only system on the market where each component that touches water is made in USA/UK."

A- very bold statement - means they had checked every other system,, and found no other system in the market has such?
B- over relating US/UK means high quality, and anything manufactured else were sub par?

At anyhow- many thanks for your view/feedback.
