Hi all.
We've a new house build. This is a super exciting project for my wife and I as it'll be our first project where we can decide and explore different ideas into creating a eco friendly luxury Airbnb. One of our ideas is a rain water collection system on top of the municipal water.
Attached is the image of how the water comes.
It starts from
1. Syabas water -> membrane filter -> two 300 gallon tanks that we have lying around from a previous project + water from the rain water collection -> 1.5HP water pump -> bathrooms x 4
2. Syabas water -> membrane filter -> 300 liter tank that is also linked to the rain collection system -> 0.87HP pump -> UV filter -> LG water dispenser for drinking/ RO filter dispenser for cooking
The rain collection system has a bunch of filters too.
1. Roof -> RC gutter -> large item filter -> aquarium sponge filter -> rainwater tank -> pump -> sand filter -> membrane filter -> use tanks
The whole intention behind this is to see if we can scale this for use in a commercial setting.
Any input is much appreciated. We got this plan from Thailand where there is a pretty strong rain water collection community.
This makes the cost of using rainwater not commercially feasible.
